Fundado en 2009, en la temporada 2019/20 consigue su primer acceso a la Segunda División ante su victoria contra el C.D. Castellón en los Play-Offs de ascenso a la liga de plata. En junio del 2009, meses después de que el histórico Club Deportivo Logroñés desapareciera deportivamente, el empresario riojano Félix Revuelta, propietario de Naturhouse, funda una nueva sociedad anónima deportiva, comprando la plaza del Club Deportivo Varea, recién ascendido a Segunda División B, y creando un club llamado Unión Deportiva Logroñés El C.D. Varea pasó a disputar la Regional Preferente de La Rioja. El club echa a andar, así, en la temporada 2009-10 en Segunda División B, donde fue encuadrado en el grupo III, realizando una buena temporada al quedar noveno en la clasificación. --ENGLISH-- The Unión Deportiva Logroñés is a Spanish soccer club in the city of Logroño, La Rioja. La Real Sociedad es uno de los únicos nueve clubes que se han proclamado campeones del Campeonato Nacional de Liga de Primera División, con dos títulos consecutivos en las temporadas 1980/81 y 1981/82, además de otros tres subcampeonatos.
