East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia, will host the TOUR Championship with the best players from this season all competing for the PGA TOUR’s ultimate prize. This will be a no-cut event, with the top 30 players beginning on their FedExCup Starting Strokes based on where they are in the FedExCup standings. Scottie Scheffler leads the field at 10-under par this week. He’ll look for redemption after playing the last five holes in 1-over par last week, as Viktor Hovland captured the BMW Championship. Scheffler has been the most consistent player on TOUR this season with 15 top-10 finishes and knows how to deliver on the big stage. Rory McIlroy starts at 7-under this week and will be looking to become the first player to win four FedExCups and the first to defend a FedExCup title. He played well for a T-4 finish last week at the BMW Championship and has three top-10 finishes alongside his three titles at East Lake. Others to look out for are Jon Rahm (6-under), Patrick Cantlay (4-under) and Max Homa (4-under). The field is full of the very best with Jon Rahm being the only top-10 player in the world electing to sit out before the year’s final major. World No.1 Scottie Scheffler is among those top players in the field this week. He’ll feel confident in his chances after finishing in the top 5 in his last three starts and in the top 12 in his last 18 starts. Wins at the WM Phoenix Open and THE PLAYERS Championship, coupled with top-10 finishes in the first three majors of the year, will mean he’ll look to be in the running come Sunday. Defending champion Xander Schauffele returns this week. He’s gathered momentum recently with 10 straight top-25 finishes and the all-time lowest round at a major in last month’s U.S. Open. An in-form Rory McIlroy will also be teeing it up this week having claimed five top-10 finishes in a row, including his runner-up finish at the U.S. Open.
