Your Early Clippers And James Harden Takes Have Aged POORLY
Your Early Clippers And James Harden Takes Have Aged POORLY

Don't get me wrong, I'm still glad the Sixers traded Harden, and I still think the Clippers still wont beat the Nuggets in a series, but the early takes with the Clippers and James Harden during the five-game losing streak have already aged LIKE MILK. It's time to clear out the refrigerator. This team was always gonna be good if everyone was healthy, the questions were always, 1. how good? 2. can they stay healthy? 3. Will Harden actually try on defense and take catch-and-shoot threes? and so far the answers to questions 2 and 3 have been yes. The Clippers needed about 20 games. Tomorrow will be their 20th game since the Harden trade, and right now the Clippers are 11-3 in their last 14. The offense is more crisp, and the defense has been very good.

Chris Paul | Fitting In With The Warriors Just Fine
Chris Paul | Fitting In With The Warriors Just Fine

Watching some preseason ball and decided to talk about how CP3 has looked on the Warriors so far. As mentioned in a previous video over the summer, I think this was a great move by the Warriors and was an upgrade over Jordan Poole. I know its preseason but if there is one thing I'm taking away from it is that Chris Paul is actively fitting in and trying to fit in as much as possible. Chris Paul has immediately picked up on what the Warriors like to do and how they run their stuff, and he is throwing crisp passes and getting Steph and Klay perfect looks in the shooting pocket. There are some mistakes here and there just due to the fact that both CP3 and the Warriors need to get used to each other, but once they iron that stuff out.....

Tyrese Maxey | The Last Hope For The Philadelphia 76ers
Tyrese Maxey | The Last Hope For The Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers are stupid, have had easily the worst off-season in their last 10 years, and the future looks murky at best. As a fan of this god-forsaken franchise I understand why people would check out on this team. 95% of it is apathy, and just not taking this team seriously. Its all deserved after the team flamed out in the playoffs. However, rather than making a video that literally every other person has made about the 76ers, or the shortcomings of Joel Embiid. I instead chose to focus the on one of the 3 or 4 things (that I can think of right now, I'll inevitably talk myself into more things to get excited for because being a fan of a team is a sickness) that I'm actually excited about heading into the year. The growth of Tyrese Maxey. I can't even begin to think where the Sixers would be now if they didn't draft Maxey (again thanks to Mike Muscala for helping that pick convey to us). Maxey has been a revelation. He took another outlier leap this year, and with James Harden out of the picture, I look forward to seeing Maxey as the #1 ball handler, because I'm going to bet on a hard worker like Maxey every time. We've seen the results of his work to a great degree. I talk about what improvements Maxey can make, how Nick Nurse could get creative with Maxey, and how Maxey and Joel Embiid can form a nasty two man game.

How The Joel Embiid - James Harden Two-Man Game Is DOMINATING
How The Joel Embiid - James Harden Two-Man Game Is DOMINATING

Don't look now but after a slow start, the Philadelphia 76ers are 2nd in the eastern conference (recorded this before they got an unexpected win over the Sacramento Kings without Jo and Harden lmaooooo) and Joel Embiid and James Harden are killing teams with their two-man game, and mainly the pick and roll. The Sixers have won 18 out of their last 22 games, they are top 10 in offense and defense, and they have three core lineups that are scorching teams. How it will translates to the playoffs with Doc Rivers coaching remains to be seen, but the goal is to get Embiid healthy in time for the playoffs.

But first I have him talk about his new home for Cleveland Sports coverage on Facebook Bulletin and how he got there. Then we cover all things Cavs, including Colin Sexton, The Lauri Markkanen trade/extension, the Jarrett Allen extension, Evan Mobley, Kevin Love and a potential breakout season this year from Darius Garland who is Stephen Curry's new favorite player. We also talk about the Cavs chances of making the play-in tournament. *note I had a brain cramp at the beginning and sort of blanked on how many years LeBron has been with the Lakers now. Apologies, its been now 12 months since the Bubble playoffs, and we will have witnessed three different seasons (at different points) during this span, so I was bound to mess up and blend it all together at some point lol*

2021-22 NBA Season Preview: The Philadelphia 76ers ft. David Arroyo.
2021-22 NBA Season Preview: The Philadelphia 76ers ft. David Arroyo.

The NBA season is upon us and I wanted to knock the Philadelphia 76ers preview out first because I don't want to talk about the entire Ben Simmons saga for 500 more years until something actually develops. So I had Blue Wire Hustle teammate David Arroyo (co-host of There's A Lot Going On) back on the show to talk about our team's media day, our thoughts on the Doc and Daryl presser, and the entire Ben Simmons saga and what led up to it. Then we talk about the actual basketball team that is in training camp, what the expectations are for the team without Simmons, Joel Embiid's prime years, where they are in the Eastern Conference hierarchy and Tyrese Maxey taking a bigger role.
