The Philadelphia 76ers are stupid, have had easily the worst off-season in their last 10 years, and the future looks murky at best. As a fan of this god-forsaken franchise I understand why people would check out on this team. 95% of it is apathy, and just not taking this team seriously. Its all deserved after the team flamed out in the playoffs. However, rather than making a video that literally every other person has made about the 76ers, or the shortcomings of Joel Embiid. I instead chose to focus the on one of the 3 or 4 things (that I can think of right now, I'll inevitably talk myself into more things to get excited for because being a fan of a team is a sickness) that I'm actually excited about heading into the year. The growth of Tyrese Maxey. I can't even begin to think where the Sixers would be now if they didn't draft Maxey (again thanks to Mike Muscala for helping that pick convey to us). Maxey has been a revelation. He took another outlier leap this year, and with James Harden out of the picture, I look forward to seeing Maxey as the #1 ball handler, because I'm going to bet on a hard worker like Maxey every time. We've seen the results of his work to a great degree. I talk about what improvements Maxey can make, how Nick Nurse could get creative with Maxey, and how Maxey and Joel Embiid can form a nasty two man game.

Just a fun ass team to follow. Steph had his moment these last two games, and that Curry Flurry at the end was fucking euphoric.

Wembanyama is who they said he was plus more. The man has been putting together a nice stretch of dominance for the Spurs.
