West Virginia Fan Reacts to Win Over TCU!!
This video, titled West Virginia Fan Reacts to Win Over TCU, is a West Virginia vs. TCU recap video, where I will give my thoughts on the WVU victory over the TCU Horned Frogs in college basketball. I will give the team stats from the game for each team, will give key players’ stats and talk about the importance of the win. It was senior day for the Mountaineers in Morgantown and they ended a 7 game losing streak with the win and it will hopefully give them some momentum going into the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City. West Virginia will likely need to win the Conference tournament to get into the NCAA tournament. West Virginia ends the season with a 15-16 record overall & 4-14 record in the Big 12. Taz Sherman led the team in scoring with 25. Gabe Osabuohien pulled down 10 rebounds. Three other Mountaineers in double digits were: Sean McNeill, Malik Curry and Jalen Bridges, who all had 10 each. TCU finishes the regular season 19-11 in the year overall & 8-10 in Big 12 play. They are projected to be an 8 seed in the NCAA tournament. The Horned Frogs were led in scoring by Mike Miles who had 17. Marshall, ODU & Southern Miss Leaving C-USA NOW?!
College football conference realignment continues to be in the news. In this Marshall, ODU & Southern Miss Leaving C-USA Now video, I will talk about the Conference USA standoff against the three schools as they try to depart the conference and join the Sun Belt Conference a year earlier than originally planned. I will talk about the impact this disagreement could have on other teams in C-USA, as well as it’s affect on the Sun Belt Conference and the NCAA as a whole. After Texas & Oklahoma announced in August 2021 that they were planning to leave the Big 12 for the SEC, it started the domino effect of conference realignment. One of those dominoes was Cincinnati, Houston & UCF leaving the AAC for the Big 12. This led to the AAC taking teams from the Sun Belt and Conference USA. To replace those teams who were leaving for the AAC, the Sun Belt invited three more C-USA schools; Marshall, Old Dominion & Southern Miss, to join the conference. The schools accepted, thus leaving even more holes to fill in C-USA. The original agreement was for the three schools to leave after the 2022-23 season. Now, they have all decided to try & leave by summer 2022. The conference is fighting back. This was the second of two regular season games between the two squads and this one transpired in Morgantown, West Virginia. Texas Tech won the game 60-53. West Virginia's leading scorer, and the second leading scorer in the Big 12, Taz Sherman did not play in the game due to being in concussion protocol. Sherman suffered the injury in the previous game against Baylor. Even without Sherman, the Mountaineers were able to hang with the #14 ranked Red Raiders, even getting a 9-point lead at one time. The Mountaineers were led by Jalen Bridges & Sean McNeill, who scored 16 & 15 points respectively. Gabe Osabuohien pulled down 13 rebounds for the Mountaineers and was a beast on the defensive end. The Red Raiders continued their stifling defense by holding the Mountaineers to 4 of 32 shooting in the second half. Offensively, they had three players in double figures: Bryson Williams poured in 15, Davion Warren had 11 and Kevin McCullar had 10. In this video, West Virginia vs. Baylor College Basketball Recap 2022 | Mountaineer Fan Calls Out Referees, I will recap the Big 12 hoops contest between the West Virginia Mountaineers & Baylor Bears, that occurred on January 31, 2022. I will provide the score, give both team & key player stats, talk about Taz Sherman's injury, give my opinion on the officiating in the game and also talk about what Bob Huggins had to say in his postgame press conference. The West Virginia Mountaineers dropped their sixth straight game to the #8 Baylor Bears by the score of 81-77. The game was held in Waco, TX and aired on ESPN. The Mountaineers played well in the game, but got outrebounded by the Bears, which proved to be the difference in the game. Taz Sherman dropped a career & season high 29 to lead West Virginia, before leaving the game with a concussion.
