My match review, match analysis and match reaction as Man City break the record for most consecutive away wins in the Premier League with 12 wins. Scott Carson made his debut for Manchester City, Ferran Torres bagged a hattrick, Eric Garcia started maybe his last game for Man City and Joao Cancelo rediscovered his old form from previously in the season as Ilkay Gundogan helped once more in filling the void with no Kevin De Bruyne. Newcastle United took the lead through Emil Krafth, Joao Cancelo equalised from a deflected effort, Ferran Torres scored a worldie to give Man City the lead before some controversy as Allan Saint-Maximin was deemed to be offside, which was overruled to be onside and Nathan Ake's challenge on Joelinton was deemed to be a penalty, even though Joelinton stands on Nathan Ake's foot, silly from Ake to be in that situation so close to half time and Joelinton put the ball past Scott Carson to make it 2-2 at half time. Newcastle took the lead from a daft challenge Kyle Walker and Joe Willock scored a rebound from his penalty being saved by Scott Carson. Ferran Torres equalised 2 minutes later after Gabriel Jesus finds Torres in space to tuck home with Joe Willock standing still... You are most vulnerable when you score. Then, Man City scored the final goal of the game 2 minutes later as Ferran Torres grabbed his hat-trick as Joao Cancelo's effort hit the inside of the post and Torres follows the rebound into the net. Lastly, Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is linked with the exit doot at Bayern Munchen, with £60m being set as the negotiated fee, with Chelsea and Man City interested... Yet Sergio Aguero is leaving Man City; he is the same age as Lewandowski. I'd love Lewandowski here but I am not sure this move makes much sense. Man City beat PSG in Paris at the Parc Des Princes as Marquinhos gave PSG the lead in the first half thanks to a great delivery from Angel Di Maria from a corner, but Manchester City came back in the second half and a cross-cum-shot from Kevin De Bruyne saw Man City equalise before a Riyad Mahrez freekick ensured Man City beat Paris Saint Germain on their own patch. Idrissa Gueye was also sent off for a nasty challenge on Ilkay Gundogan towards the end of the second half and he will miss the second leg on Tuesday. I Am FURIOUS | Man City 5 - 2 Southampton
My match review and analysis of the Manchester City win over Southampton in the Premier League. Goals from Riyad Mahrez (2), Kevin De Bruyne (2) and Ilkay Gundogan was enough to see off James Ward-Prowse and his penalty (which Vestergaard won from a challenge from Aymeric Laporte) and a goal from Che Adams. Che Adams also saw a goal disallowed for offside but it was the controversy from Jon Moss and VAR as they did NOT give Man City and Phil Foden a penalty after Alex McCarthy (Southampton goalkeeper) brought down Foden in the penalty area to stop him scoring.
