Here's the reaction after the game, from the virtual Mixed Zone: Oluwatobi Elliot Azeez (Australia): "Positive things going forward, I think, we did a good job controlling the tenacity of our serve and when the game was playing we executed very well. It's just a matter of consistency for further games. Serbia are a strong team, they have strong players and sometimes it's tough to have good touches and some plays, but they are definitely a tough opponent." Aleksandar Atanasijevic (Serbia): "The most important thing is that we are still in the game for the Final Four. This is our main goal. The first two sets we played really good. In the third set we changed some players and we didn't play like we expected, but the most important is that we won three points and that we managed to earn another victory. Here's the reaction after the game, from the virtual Mixed Zone: Linus Weber (Germany): "Our expectations were different, but if you look at the start of the game, there is a huge difference between how we have started with three mistakes in a row and after this we were running these mistakes all the set. Also in the second part we didn't start well, but we fought hard in the third. It was a close set - it's a good thing. We tried to use our energy, but we didn't come back and at the end Canada played really good volleyball on a constant level." Sharone Vernon-Evans (Canada): "It's just amazing. Like we said yesterday we just came here and tried to compete and today it was in our fortune in our favour. We fought hard, we kept our foot on the pedal and kept on trying persevering in tough moments to keep this leading and keep fighting until the end. A key to victory? The reliance on tough points, keeping the ball in long rallies, trying to keep the ball off the floor, we made a good pressure on the block and forced them to narrow their game down on a specific side of the court, so it was easier to get our blocks set up. Here's the reaction after the game, from the virtual Mixed Zone: Rok Mozic (Slovenia): "It was an important victory. Australia have a good team and we were a little bit tired from yesterday, from the game against Brazil, so I'm happy that after losing the first set we were good enough to play better in the next three sets and win for another three points which are important for the standings. Key to our victory were, in my opinion, service and breakpoints. We were serving really well and they were struggling with receptions on three meters or even more. We had a good defence and block and breakpoints and I think that's how we won this match." Luke Smith (Australia): "We definitely caught them by surprise. In the first set we really shot volleyball service, defence and attack. But as all good teams in the VNL it's undoubtable that they will respond. And when they did we weren't able to stay with them for an extended period of time. So the feeling is - proud of the progress that we are making every day, but it's quite tough to not get awarded by points in the VNL. Marko Ivovic and Marko Podrascanin both scored 13 points for Serbia, while the leading scorer for Bulgaria was Radoslav Parapunov also with 13 points. This is what the players said: Uros Kovacevic (SRB): It was a very, very important victory for us, because we need to win every single game. Bulgaria are always strong and we always have good battles, but today we came to the court just to win, just to take every single point and we really did a good job. I think our serve was very important, because when we started to serve better they didn't have a chance. It was our problem yesterday, because we didn't serve well and we lost against Russia. Today we served really well and once we do that, we can play great volleyball. Martin Atanasov (BUL): It's always difficult to play against Serbia, especially when they play with their top team. We missed a lot of our starting players during this tournament, so it's really tough for us. We are trying to add some young blood, young players to our team, but of course at the beginning it's always difficult.
