The women's national volleyball team of Thailand (Thai: วอลเลย์บอลหญิงทีมชาติไทย) represents the Thailand in international volleyball competitions. It is managed by the Thailand Volleyball Association. The team won a silver medal in the 2016 Montreux Masters, the best finish by any team outside the Americas, East Asia and Europe. Also, the team took a fourth-place finish in 2012 World Grand Prix. And the team took a bronze medal in Summer Universiade in two times, the best finish by any team outside the world. In Asia, the team won a bronze medal in the Asian Games 2014. Also, the team won a gold medal in the Asian Championship in two times. And, the team won a gold medal in the Asian Cup Championship. I campioni d’Italia in carica battono 3-0 la Vero Volley Monza in Gara 1 dei Quarti Play Off di SuperLega Credem Banca (27-25, 25-16, 25-17), andata in scena davanti ai 1374 spettatori dell’Eurosuole Forum di Civitanova Marche, guadagnandosi due match point per chiudere la serie (che si gioca al meglio delle tre partite) e conquistare quindi l’accesso al turno successivo. La sfida inizia nel segno di Robertlandy Simon, che prova a lanciare la fuga dei suoi con due muri vincenti e l’ace del momentaneo 9-4. Monza pareggia a quota 13 facendo a sua volta la voce grossa dalla linea dei nove metri, dalla quale Dzavoronok (2 ace, attacca col 71% di efficienza) cerca con costanza la fetta di campo di competenza di Juantorena, titolare di posto 4 per la Lube in diagonale con Lucarelli. Proprio il martello naturalizzato italiano, poi, sarà protagonista insieme al solito Simon del secondo strappo firmato dai cucinieri: Lube avanti 17-14 con due contrattacchi di fila firmati da Osmany (67% sulle schiacciate), il centralone cubano (7 punti) mette invece a terra altri due ace, per il 22-17. Davyskiba infila ben 3 ace che riportano i lombardi in perfetta parità a quota 22. Si va ai vantaggi, decide per i padroni di casa un altro ace (alla fine saranno 7 per parte), che arriva sulla battuta float di De Cecco. Il secondo parziale è dominato dai campioni d’Italia, guidati da un magistrale Luciano De Cecco in regia. I marchigiani firmano un parziale di 6-0 sul turno al servizio di Osmany Juantorena (20-13), alzando il muro in maniera vincente per tre volte, due con Lucarelli e una con Simon, per poi andare a chiudere facendo nuovamente la voce grossa in battuta, stavolta con il top scorer Zaytsev (8 punti, 78% in attacco, 1 ace). Civitanova schiaccia con il 58% di squadra in attacco contro il 33% dei brianzoli, 3-1 il computo dei muri vincenti, 3-1 anche quello degli ace. Una supremazia, quella dei cucinieri, che si rinnova facendo perno sull’efficacia del servizio anche nel terzo conclusivo set, con Simon (13 punti, col 100% su 6 primi tempi giocati e 3 muri) e l’MVP di giornata Ivan Zaytsev (18 punti, col 79% in attacco e 3 ace) nel ruolo di primi attori. Il fattore campo ha resistito anche in questo caso al tentativo di assalto degli emiliani, come succede da tredici anni a questa parte, consentendo alla squadra di Lorenzetti di portarsi subito sull’1-0 nella serie; un vantaggio che permetterà ora di avere due occasioni per conquistare la qualificazione alla Semifinale. A quell’appuntamento Trentino Volley arriverà con alle spalle la convincente prestazione sfoderata oggi, in cui servizio (12 ace a fronte di 15 errori) ed attacco (61% di squadra) hanno fatto la differenza in particolar modo dal secondo set, momento in cui i gialloblù hanno preso saldamente in mano le redini del gioco e non le hanno più lasciate sino alla fine della partita.
