The Haters Guide to the 2021 NHL Season: East and Central Edition
The Haters Guide to the 2021 NHL Season: East and Central Edition

Thanks Petal for sponsoring. Go to https://petalcard.com/UTREE to find out more and get started today! It feels weird that we're already well-past the halfway point of the NHL season. It's gone by so fast, considering the unique circumstances of everything going on. With every division only playing against each other, the games become far more important than usual. With the East and Central divisions, there are many stories to tell. Some the same ones we've heard before, others brand new adventures. For these sixteen teams, what has the season entailed? This video will hopefully help you to figure that out. Unless you're Buffalo, then you just fall apart every time you try.

To Catch A Predator: A Nashville Quandary
To Catch A Predator: A Nashville Quandary

It feels like yesterday when we all thought the Nashville Predators were Stanley Cup contenders. It also feels like they became an afterthought in that conversation just as fast. Despite their past sheen, the Predators have a combination of long-time issues that have been unsolved and new dilemmas that have emerged. Nashville is in a very tough spot: They still don't want to lose the hope of being playoff contenders, but reality is coldly reminding them that the way their roster is constructed isn't going to do it. In this video, the quandary of the Predators will hopefully be explained in a way that will make sense to those that are new to the situation.

The Miami Dolphins: The Art of the Rebuild
The Miami Dolphins: The Art of the Rebuild

Go to https://buyraycon.com/utree for 15% off your order! Brought to you by Raycon. And now for complete heresy: I don't outright shit on a team. I don't know how this is going to go, but perhaps it will not result in outright shaming/jinxing/whatever. One year ago, the Dolphins were considered to be an incredible tank that had been ruined by the horrible art of winning. Ryan Fitzpatrick leading a final drive against the Patriots, making a statement in more ways than one. I was worried that such winning would go against what Miami was trying to go for in the early part of the season, but has it? That answer has been no. How did it happen? This video will try to assess that. Key word on try.

A Chief Equation On How To Lose The Super Bowl
A Chief Equation On How To Lose The Super Bowl

AKA: "Congrats, Chiefs!" (2021) You were our only hope to avoid the resurgence of the First Order, Kansas City. You may have been an evil, but it was far lesser than dealing with the inevitable boot of Brady. Thanks to the Chiefs failure and self-destruction, we must suffer through it again. One might blame this on the refs (as I did at first), but the further you look into it, Kansas City did it to themselves. I have devised a simple equation as to how they lost this football game*. * Equation was half-assed after a night of lamentation and pain. May be rushed and inaccurate due to intense biases against our new overlord Tom Brady.

Revisiting: ESPN
Revisiting: ESPN

Kind of a topic out of left field, isn't it? I first looked into ESPN and their missteps almost four years ago now and thought it was time to take a look at them again. The pandemic has not been kind to the Worldwide Leader in Sports. Without live sports, there was no reason to really watch them. Their top on-air talents and executives took a paycut. The station bled money. Now, it's resulted in another round of massive layoffs: Over 500 jobs were eliminated, from what they would say was due to the pandemic. However, if you look further into it, the pandemic is merely an excuse. It merely hastened the inevitable. Thanks to a cookie-cutter formula for most of its shows and greatly increasing costs for broadcasting rights, ESPN is in a rough situation. This also doesn't get into their greatest threats: Cord-cutting and the rise of internet media/podcasting for people to get their sports fix. What else is there? This video might explain... hopefully?

Yes, I hate myself for it, but you can thank a certain team and my self-destruction of it happening for such a discrepancy to occur. In the meantime, the NHL Season has commenced, with most teams playing at least one game (barring two due to a COVID outbreak on the Dallas Stars). This video is usually divided into two parts, but due to the divisions being re-aligned due to the current situation at hand, I chose to combine it into one in order to make things a little less confusing. I said a little. Otherwise, what should you look forward to in this NHL season? Hopefully one full of hockey goodness and its uninterrupted beauty. I can only hope I do it justice. Probably not, but it's never stopped me from trying.

Congrats, Steelers! (2021)
Congrats, Steelers! (2021)

I thought this year was different, man. I could've sworn that they weren't going to fall into the same traps as years past, but they did. Only with different names and styles. The result being a bunch of "nameless gray faces" smacking the Steelers at Heinz Field during a playoff game again. I wanted to take a few days to cool down a bit or else this was going to be incoherent frothing at the mouth. Plus to let the voice rest up a bit after what was a catastrophic meltdown in more ways than one. It's not as impotent as others I've done. It's more out of sheer disappointment.

In Which All Optimism Dies... The FactorTree of Sadness
In Which All Optimism Dies... The FactorTree of Sadness

On Sunday, January 10, 2021, there was a game that took place between the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Sensing a chance to "experiment' and get "content" out, a yinzer by the name of UrinatingTree decided to stream his reaction and recap of the game itself. What would happen after is one of the most spectacular meltdowns ever caught on camera. This is but a mere sample of such misery over one quarter of play. This man needs to get laid.
