Swieqi United suffered a narrow 3-1 defeat to rivals LUxol St. Andrews on Friday at the National Sports School, confirming 3rd place in the MFA Futsal League going into the Elite Round. I'm Damon Shaw, a UEFA A licence futsal coach currently working as Technical Director and Academy manager for Swieqi United in the Maltese FA Futsal League. SUFC is a semi professional club with ambitions to be leaders in Malta. After three years in Barcelona working for top professional academies, I returned to England to work for Tranmere Rovers, establishing one of the biggest futsal clubs in England until a restructure saw me lose my job. My career started with Middlesbrough Futsal Club where I was at the top of the game in England after 8 memorable years in Teesside. I also founded the BUCS futsal championship, now UKs largest competition and have sat on the FA Futsal League committee several times over the years.
