Charlie Ewels ABSURD Red Card Incident | England vs Ireland Six Nations 2022
Charlie Ewels ABSURD Red Card Incident | England vs Ireland Six Nations 2022

Another game ruined thanks to atrocious officiating. This is just getting ridiculous. Rugby is turning into a joke of a sport because of how bad world rugby is with regards to its officiating. How many games must be ruined due to the incompetence of World Rugby before things changes? Seriously, when will it be enough? I honestly feel like Agustín Pichot is the only person that can save world rugby but it will probably never happen thanks to it being so corrupt at the top. In this game, we have an incident where Charlie Ewels goes in for a tackle. He makes a good hit, that is below the shoulder height and perfectly legal, whether it was high or not, it doesn't matter as it was below shoulder height. The only problem was, as he goes to wrap his arms, he clashes head with the Ireland player. There was no intent or even force in it. It was an unfortunate head clash that happens in the game of rugby. Nobody even reacted to it because they probably thought what most of us did, there was nothing in the hit. Then before they go to review it, another similar hit happens on Maro Itoje, where Sexton tackles him upright. The facts in this case is even worse if we're being honest. With Sexton, he uses no arms and is tackling upright. He makes contact with Itoje's neck area and uses force as he went in for the tackle. In this case you could also clearly see there was more intent as he was going to make a big hit. Yet they simply ignore this, and rightfully so because if you look at it, then you'll see it was a normal rugby hit. But what I'm trying to point out is this, if we start penalizing every single contact to the head, then we won't have a game. These types of hits happen every single game, you will never be able to remove it from the game. Also, how is an accidental head clash worse than the hit Sexton made? both very fine with me, but if you ask me what was worse, then the Sexton one was if we look at facts. Yet it goes unnoticed because it was a rugby hit. World Rugby needs open they're eyes. They're busy ruining the sport we love. There is simply no punishment for horrible refereeing or TMO'ing. I mean, how does Marius Jonker keep getting high profile games to TMO? Every single time that he is in the TMO booth, there is controversy. I would love to see how he passes he reviews by World Rugby. I've long been telling people that the "Review" stuff that World Rugby keeps telling us about, is made up. There's no way guys like Marius Jonker keeps getting high profile games if there was a legitimate system in place.

Vincent Tshituka Makes UNBELIEVABLE Try Saving Tackle | Lions vs Sharks Currie Cup
Vincent Tshituka Makes UNBELIEVABLE Try Saving Tackle | Lions vs Sharks Currie Cup

This was one of the better tackles I've seen in quite some time, and it was all due to the work rate of Vincent Tshituka. He never gave up on the chase and just managed to get into an extra gear to cover lots of ground to make an amazing try saving ankle tape, which then gave Divan Rossouw time to stop the ball carrier short and made it possible for Vincent to hold the ball up. It was an amazing play by Vincent Tshituka. Vincent has been in sublime form this last 2 seasons and is knocking on the door for Springboks once he gets his citizenship sorted. He's undoubtedly one of the better players in SA at the moment and has been consistently putting up amazing performances

2022 Try of The Year Contender! | MIRACLE One Handed Catch Leads To Game Winning Try In MLR
2022 Try of The Year Contender! | MIRACLE One Handed Catch Leads To Game Winning Try In MLR

The MLR is officially the most fun league to follow. I absolutely love it, as it has provided me with so much joy these last couple of weeks. It's been a while since I last enjoyed watching rugby like this. This was an instant Classic in what is going to be an amazing rivalry to follow between the Dallas Jackals and the Houston Sabercats. It was a game full of momentum swings and I really enjoyed it. Although the TMO was atrocious and made some horrible calls against both teams, the ending of this game is an instant classic. What a game. The Sabercats were on the back foot the whole game and continued fighting until the very end. But boy can I just take a moment to say that I witnessed the best one handed grab that I've ever seen. Gideon van Wyk, take a bow! that was ridiculous. The ball came with speed and he was off balance and he grabbed the ball with one hand and set up a miracle try. I was breathless, it reminded me of the OBJ catch where it took the commentators a few seconds to realize he actually made the catch because it was so unreal at first. Lastly, hats off to Dallas. It was a heartbreaking loss and they deserved to win. They played their hearts out and I don't think it would be fair to call them underdogs anymore. This is the 2nd week in a row where they came in as the underdogs and just put the other team on the ropes. They'll get better and learn to finish off games. They definitely won fans over with that performance.

Antoine Dupont MASTERCLASS vs Ireland | France vs Ireland Six Nations
Antoine Dupont MASTERCLASS vs Ireland | France vs Ireland Six Nations

I don't think Antoine Dupont needs any introduction to the rugby world, he's just been producing World Class performances these last couple of seasons and that's exactly how he started the 2022 season. The guy is just good with everything he does, his ability to influence a game on both attack and defence is so fun to watch. He really plays like a leader and makes sure he sets an example, as seen with his physicality on defence. Then there is his way of reading a game and just being in the right place at the right time more often than not. He's just fun to watch and is deserving of his title as the best rugby player in the world. I also just have to end with that sick pass he made where he shipped 3 Ireland defenders. That was just a beauty of a pass. Marcus Smith WORLD CLASS Performance vs Italy | England vs Italy Six Nations
Marcus Smith WORLD CLASS Performance vs Italy | England vs Italy Six Nations

Marcus Smith's star just keeps shining brighter with each and every game he gets under his belt, he's really a special talent and a joy to watch. It's scary to think that he's only 23 years old and already proving to be one of the best playmakers in the game. He had another World Class performance against Italy over the weekend where he just took control of the game and won it for England. It might not have been against the best opposition, but he was flawless and did everything that was asked of him, and much more. It's going to be fun to follow his career with England, so far he's played up to his hype.

Morne Steyn Red Card Incident | Bulls vs Sharks URC
Morne Steyn Red Card Incident | Bulls vs Sharks URC

I'm not gonna lie, never would I have ever expected Morne Steyn to get a red card for a dangerous tackle. He was never really renowned for his tackling, but seems like he still has some aggression in him. It was an unfortunate tackle, I don't think Morne is the type of player to try and hurt other players, but this was reckless and it is hard to argue the red card here. It was a late swinging arm to Lukhanyo Am's neck and that is going to be red every day of the week. In saying that, the officiating crew in this match was absolutely horrible and ruined a good game. This was not a great advertisement for the URC, as it turned out to be another disaster surrounding the refs. In saying this, Morne is still one of my favorite players and would be the first player I select in an All Time XV, the guy is a legend and there will never be a guy with his kicking talent. He was one of a kind and I enjoy seeing him play.

Mack Hansen Scores AMAZING Try In Under 7 Seconds vs France | Ireland vs France Six Nations
Mack Hansen Scores AMAZING Try In Under 7 Seconds vs France | Ireland vs France Six Nations

First off, what a clash between two giants it was. It started off as a one man show with France dominating most of the game. But the last part Ireland showed up to the party and put France under tremendous pressure. It was just another fun match to watch between these two giants. This was a weird moment in the game where Ireland responded directly after France scored. They did so in great fashion, with Mack Hansen scoring an amazing try in under 7 seconds. It was a weird try, but fun to watch nonetheless. It was as if France didn't pick the ball up and Mack just took it out of the air and went in for an easy try, it won't come much easier than that.

Referee Rugby Analysis: Will World Rugby Punish Nic Berry? | Wales vs Scotland Six Nations
Referee Rugby Analysis: Will World Rugby Punish Nic Berry? | Wales vs Scotland Six Nations

Oh dear, another refereeing controversy where Nic Berry is involved. Who would've ever guessed that? I'm sick and tired of refs like him who makes mistake after mistake, but never gets punished. Instead, he gets praised and wins awards because of his so called "bravery" for going against Rassie. I'm sure Scotland fans were angry after that game because it was a disgrace in refereeing. This is getting out of hand and World Rugby needs to step up. I have no idea how Nic Berry thought Fin Russel made no attempt to go for the ball, it was clear to everyone except him. It's one thing if you just penalize him, I still think that would've been very harsh. But to take it a step further, and give the guy a yellow card, that is an absolute joke. Even Nigel Owens said he thought Russel made a genuine attempt at the ball and it should've been a knock-on. But Nic thought that had to be a yellow, that is disgraceful. Then the next one where the Wales player clearly delivers a shoulder to the head, which is yellow card every single day of the week. But Nic just goes on and makes his own story of it being not dangerous and just penalty worthy. It's just a joke. So the question is simple, Will World Rugby punish him for being bad, or will Nic go and cry to get more attention? I think we know what's going to happen judging by World Rugby's track record.
