The eternal dilemma with Indian cricket in recent times has been regarding the balance between long-term planning and short-term results. During their ODI World Cup win in 2019 and the T20 title victory in 2022 England showed the benefits of having a vision without compromising on results. It is a template that the Indian team is still far away from cracking as they look to transition towards a phase beyond the Virat Kohli's and Rohit Sharma's.
