SUB TODAY: https://youtube.com/chatsportstv?sub_confirmation=1 Understanding the NFL Supplemental Draft process is crucial for any team considering a player like Brendan Sorsby. This draft, installed in 1977, allows players to enter the NFL after missing the regular draft due to unforeseen circumstances. Teams bid on players by forfeiting a future draft pick of the corresponding round, with the lowest-winning team from the previous season getting priority in each round group. For example, the Arizona Cardinals used a fifth-round pick in 2019 to draft Jalen Thompson, forfeiting their 2020 NFL Draft fifth-round selection. The draft order is grouped by teams with six or fewer wins, non-playoff teams, and 14 playoff teams, with the entire process typically lasting about 10 minutes. If Sorsby and Kessler are unsuccessful in finding a path to eligibility, declaring for the NFL's supplemental draft then would become an option. Sorsby would have until June 30 to declare for the supplemental draft.” Follow Billy on social media for more content! May 7th, 2026 New Jersey/Delaware Bay Fishing Report with Jim Hutchinson, Jr.
The traditional dockside marina and tackle shop was a staple along the Jersey Shore 50 years ago; with the high value of waterfront properties today, you'll find mostly duplexes now where "mom and pop" marinas once thrived. We're in Margate, NJ for this week's report at Scott's Dock, still going strong as a family operation since 1959. New Jersey's summer flounder season kicked off on Monday, May 4th, and we take a look out back behind these barrier islands where this first fluking weekend of 2026 should be most productive. Ocean water temps at Atlantic City still below 55 degrees which is keeping striped bass actively on the feed in the surf (8:23) . Surfcasters at Island Beach (13:10) may be interested in a new piece of legislation expected in Trenton to deal with the buggy permit lottery fiasco, while the sheepshead of the season (15:00) is reported in Atlantic County. We await news on bluefin regs (19:30) while taking a sneak peek into the Canyon Runner Gulf Stream intel, wrapping up the week (26:35) with a few local events of angling interest in the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region this week.
