The start of the 2022 Formula 1 season has fallen well short of Sebastian Vettel’s expectations for Aston Martin. Vettel is out of contract at the end of the year and even before the 2022 cars had hit the track in pre-season testing it was clear that his future would be a big talking point. The four-time world champion was betting on the immense potential of the Aston Martin project to extend and revitalise his career after being shuffled out at Ferrari. Instead, Aston Martin’s dreadful form at the start of 2022 only intensifies the scrutiny of whether Vettel will call it quits sooner rather than later. #F1 #SebastianVettel #AstonMartin Subscribe: http://the-race.com/youtube_subscribe Website: http://the-race.com/ Twitter: @wearetherace Instagram: @wearetherace Facebook: http://facebook.com/wearetherace Podcasts: http://the-race.com/podcasts Thanks for watching - please like, share and comment, please also hit subscribe to show your support so we'll keep doing what we're doing. https://www.the-race.com http://www.twitter.com/wearetherace
Max Verstappen’s retirement from second place in the Australian Grand Prix leaves him, in his words, "already miles behind" Charles Leclerc in the fight for the world championship. It’s his second retirement in three races, so despite winning the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix he’s now 46 points off the world championship lead. With 20 races to go, there’s plenty of time for Verstappen and Red Bull to catch up, but that’s only possible with a reliable car. To add to those reliability concerns, Verstappen and Red Bull were outpaced both in qualifying and the race in Australia while Leclerc and Ferrari won after leading every lap from pole position. So what’s the problem and how big a threat are Red Bull’s current struggles to Verstappen’s hopes of defending the world championship. #F1 #AustralianGP #MaxVerstappen READ MORE HERE https://the-race.com/formula-1/is-verstappens-f1-title-defence-already-in-crisis-our-verdict/ Subscribe: http://the-race.com/youtube_subscribe Website: http://the-race.com/ Twitter: @wearetherace Instagram: @wearetherace Facebook: http://facebook.com/wearetherace Podcasts: http://the-race.com/podcasts Thanks for watching - please like, share and comment, please also hit subscribe to show your support so we'll keep doing what we're doing. https://www.the-race.com http://www.twitter.com/wearetherace

Ferrari has returned to the front in Formula 1 at the start of the 2022 season, but can it turn this into a full-on title challenge? Charles Leclerc leads the world championship for the first time in his F1 career as Ferrari has started the year fighting with Red Bull in the opening two races. Ferrari was in this position as recently as 2017 and 2018, but its championship bid collapsed both times. So, what’s changed to avoid repeating the failures across those seasons? #F1 #Ferrari #CharlesLeclerc Subscribe: http://the-race.com/youtube_subscribe Website: http://the-race.com/ Twitter: @wearetherace Instagram: @wearetherace Facebook: http://facebook.com/wearetherace Podcasts: http://the-race.com/podcasts Thanks for watching - please like, share and comment, please also hit subscribe to show your support so we'll keep doing what we're doing. https://www.the-race.com http://www.twitter.com/wearetherace
Haas couldn’t have hoped for a more dramatic turnaround of its Formula 1 fortunes under the new regulations in 2022. After scoring just three points in the previous two campaigns, it has already racked up four times that in first two races thanks to back-to-back top 10 finishes for Kevin Magnussen in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. That’s put it fifth in the constructors’ championship with more points than it has scored in the preceding 49 races. So how did Haas achieve this remarkable reversal of fortunes, and can F1’s smallest team really be expected to sustain this form for the rest of the season? #F1 #Haas Subscribe: http://the-race.com/youtube_subscribe Website: http://the-race.com/ Twitter: @wearetherace Instagram: @wearetherace Facebook: http://facebook.com/wearetherace Podcasts: http://the-race.com/podcasts Thanks for watching - please like, share and comment, please also hit subscribe to show your support so we'll keep doing what we're doing. https://www.the-race.com http://www.twitter.com/wearetherace
Saudi Arabia 2022 was Lewis Hamilton's worst weekend in 180 races for Mercedes since joining the team in 2013. Of course, Hamilton has had worse results in both qualifying and races for Mercedes - but these were the consequences of mechanical problems or crashes. In Saudi Arabia, it was all on merit with the bare numbers stating he started 15th and finished 10th. So what went wrong for Hamilton, how much was down to bad luck, and what does it reveal about the prospects for Mercedes for the rest of 2022? #F1 #LewisHamilton #SaudiArabianGP READ MORE HERE https://the-race.com/formula-1/glum-hamilton-says-mercedes-needs-more-grip-more-power/ Subscribe: http://the-race.com/youtube_subscribe Website: http://the-race.com/ Twitter: @wearetherace Instagram: @wearetherace Facebook: http://facebook.com/wearetherace Podcasts: http://the-race.com/podcasts Thanks for watching - please like, share and comment, please also hit subscribe to show your support so we'll keep doing what we're doing. https://www.the-race.com http://www.twitter.com/wearetherace
The 2021 Formula 1 world title fight between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton was meant to be a once-in-a-generation occurrence: two world class drivers in equally matched cars going wheel-to-wheel seemingly race after race. Now we’re only two races into the 2022 season, and it’s happening again. But this time Verstappen’s foe is Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc. For the second race running Verstappen and Leclerc went toe to toe for victory, trading the lead and playing games with each other in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. And this time the reigning champion came out on top - by just half a second. Unlike Verstappen and Hamilton, these two haven’t collided yet. But just like it felt early in 2021, is it only a matter of time? #F1 #SaudiArabianGP Subscribe: http://the-race.com/youtube_subscribe Website: http://the-race.com/ Twitter: @wearetherace Instagram: @wearetherace Facebook: http://facebook.com/wearetherace Podcasts: http://the-race.com/podcasts Thanks for watching - please like, share and comment, please also hit subscribe to show your support so we'll keep doing what we're doing. https://www.the-race.com http://www.twitter.com/wearetherace
