Emmet Sheehan had a much stronger outing than his last appearance, while the bullpen has continued to be a mainly shutdown unit. Blake Snell, LHP The Dodgers deployed a specialized lineup against the Braves on Friday, with a matchup that featured minimal left-handed hitting and right-handers moved up the order. Los Angeles clearly respected Sale enough to move Freeman, Tucker, and Muncy down the order, while giving a hot hitter like Hyeseong Kim the day off to avoid the matchup. However, on Saturday, the Dodgers are deploying a more typical batting order, with Kim coming back and Freeland joining him at the bottom of the order. Tucker returns to the No. 4 spot, and Max Muncy moves up from No. 8 to No. 6. Freeman goes back to the No. 2 spot, with Smith going down to No. 3. The Braves are rolling out Spencer Strider, a right-hander who was once one of the most promising arms in baseball, though injuries and mechanics issues have cost him over the last season. Strider has only pitched 3 innings this season, with an 8.10 ERA. He made his season debut on May 3 and will face a tough test against the Dodgers.
