Chicago Bears fans are a unique bunch. That’s what makes them special and enjoyable. One thing these people know better than most fanbases is fine dining. When attending a football game, most fans prefer the classics. Popcorn. Hot dogs. Cheeseburgers. Tacos. Pizza. Hot pretzels and so on. Some though can’t be satisfied with simple things like that. They need to raise the bar for everybody else. That is exactly what one gentleman did on Sunday during the Bears’ game against the New York Giants. Rather than go for ice cream or another typical desert, he smuggled in a legitimate pumpkin pie. That’s right. A full pie. Not only that, but he had the can of whipped cream ready like it was in a holster too. Thanksgiving isn’t a one-day thing with this man. It’s a week-long celebration and he got to enjoy a Bears win on top of it. It will be interesting to see if some other Bears fans try to top it this coming Thursday. That will be the actual Thanksgiving date and there are plenty of other dishes to choose from that one might want to enjoy. Stuffing? A turkey leg? French silk pie? The list goes on. Manchester United left to foot bill after Paris Saint-Germain fans trash Old Trafford - wrecking 800 seats - during Champions League fixture. Around 800 seats were ripped out or broken as Paris Saint-Germain visited Manchester United's Old Trafford ground. United chiefs have been left counting the cost of the European clash after rowdy French fans caused considerable damage. Nearly 3,500 PSG supporters travelled to the city to back their team in the first leg of the Champions League knockout tie on Tuesday night. Angry United bosses have today accused a section of the PSG fans of 'going too far' after thousands of pounds-worth of damage was caused. Around 800 seats will need replacing or repairing after being broken by being stood on or ripped out and hurled. Netting put in to protect fans in neighbouring home sections, including the disabled fans section in the East Stand, was ripped down. United fans sitting nearby complained of seats being thrown as well as spitting and other anti-social behaviour. Despite amnesty bins being placed outside the ground, flares and smoke bombs were smuggled inside the ground and let off. It is illegal in England to possess pyrotechnics inside, and in the immediate vicinity of, a football stadium. A video also showed PSG fans picking up a United steward him during the game. "Our fans created a great atmosphere getting behind the team last night," United source told the Manchester Evening News. "PSG fans played their part, but some of their behaviour clearly went too far." French fans earlier created a sea of noise and colour in Manchester city centre, lighting dozens of flares as well as singing and jumping around in Exchange Square. One fan suffered a serious hand injury and had to be treated by paramedics when a firework went off in his hand. Metrolink bosses are to hand over CCTV footage to police after two trams ferrying PSG fans to the match were damaged. Pictures from commuters showed gaping holes and cracks in the ceiling of two trams. They had to be taken out of service, causing delays to the network. United bosses are also assisting police identify some of their own supporters who threw missiles at former Reds star Angel Di Maria. The Argentinian winger received a hostile reception from the home crowd, which only got worse after he screamed in front of United fans. A number of missiles were thrown in his direction as he walked over to take a corner, including a beer bottle, which he picked up and pretended to drink from. United are expected will now face action from UEFA over the incident. A club source confirmed they are already working with police to try and identify the culrpits. Di Maria's manager Thomas Tuchel said: "Angel di Maria is very competitive. If you tease him, it does not make him weaker. "I thought he had a good relationship with the fans. "He was a bit nervous and needed to be calmer in the first-half. In the end he did well." United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists his side are not out of the tie, taking a 2-0 deficit to Paris for the second leg in a three weeks' time.

Yes, as if BATMAN & ROBIN hadn't disgraced the name of DC enough in the summer of 1997, we also saw John Henry Irons--the military weapons maker who filled in for Superman after his death--get his own motion picture...only to have him portrayed by a 7-foot basketball player who had just come off playing a rapping genie with attitude. And if KAZAAM hadn't done enough to put Shaq's movie career on the bench, then STEEL helped sideline it for the rest of the season, which is unfortunate, seeing as how legendary producer Quincy Jones wanted a movie superhero who would instill hope in hopeless urban children across the country. But with his lumbering body, monotone line delivery, and metal costume that clearly consists of foam rubber, the only emotion that Shaq got from audiences was laughter, especially when you've got him facing off against a wimpy Judd Nelson for smuggling illegal weapons inside arcade game cabinets. Of course, he can't take down John Bender all by himself, so he's got some help from his newly-handicapped fellow soldier Sparky (played by Monica Reyes from THE X-FILES), his junkyard-running Uncle Joe (played by Richard "Shaft" Roundtree), and his little brother Martin (played by sex tape star, and also singer, Ray J). It's a film that shows us, on this weekend of BLACK PANTHER's release during Black History Month, how far we have come--not just in terms of racial equality, but in terms of writing comic book movies which aren't laughably awful...and casting actual actors to play your superheroes instead of sports athletes. Seriously, Shaq, we all love ya, but I feel I need to apologize to Michael Jordan for all the crap I gave him for SPACE JAM.
