#AlperenSengun #HoustonRockets #NBA The Houston Rockets found a total steal of a big man as they have acquired 6’10 Turkish big man Alperen Sengun with the 16th pick of the 2021 NBA draft after the Rockets gave up two protected future first round picks for him. And after participating in the Summer League for the Houston Rockets together with other rookies like Jalen Green, Usman Garuba, and Josh Christopher, fans have witnessed why Sengun would have qualified as a lottery pick. In 4 summer league games, Sengun averaged 14.5 points, 11 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 3 blocks per game, while also shooting a solid 38 percent from deep, as he played against the Detroit Pistons, Toronto Raptors, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Orlando Magic. Even as an 18-year old playing in Turkey, Sengun was the MVP of the Turkish BSL while playing for Besiktas as he averaged 18.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 1.5 blocks, while putting up a decade-high PER. This earned Sengun recognition as one of the most highly ranked international big man prospects coming into the draft while earning some Nikola Jokic, Domantas Sabonis, or Marc Gasol comparisons. Alperen Sengun’s skillset has wowed NBA scouts because of his crafty footwork, natural playmaking ability, and solid offensive package. And although a lot of NBA mock drafts and big boards had Sengun pretty low, he’s starting to show how good he can become. But can Rockets’ coach Stephen Silas utilize him alongside big men like Christian Wood and Daniel Theis. Is Sengun really the next big international NBA superstar? Whats up guys Today I'm looking at Moses Moody From Arkansas this Kid has the potential to become a special NBA player. He has all the tools and skillsets now the next step for him is to refine those skills year after year. I think the Knicks would benefit from Drafting moody. We really don't have a 3-D type player. Guys that have the ability to lockdown their defender and score are hard to come by. The knicks would have to trade up to get him though. Your thoughts? Check out This great video from Hoopintellect they make great videos and without them I wouldn't be able to make this reaction check them out here!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfrMti64-rk&t=641s

TOP 5 Suitors for DeMarcus "Boogie" Cousins Following His Buyout From The Houston Rockets In today's video, we take a look at some of the best landing spots for DeMarcus "Boogie" Cousins following his buyout from the Houston Rockets. Among the teams we explore, we take a look at the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, and the New York Knicks. Boston makes the most sense here and Danny Ainge has showed continued interest in bringing the former perennial All Star in to help the Celtics on their quest for Title 18. Boogie Cousins could help provide a productive Big Man for Boston as they struggle to out-rebound and space the floor. The Lakers make great sense for a DeMarcus Cousins signing, especially since he was with the team when they won it all last season. Unfortunately, reports from LA have surfaced that the Lakers will continue on with the roster that they currently have, in the wake of Anthony Davis' injury. The Brooklyn Nets could use a big that presents a different skillset than DeAndre Jordan. Cousins can space the floor and shoot 25%+ from the 3-point line while Jordan is a pick-and-roll, paint dominating Center who is a defensive guru and offensive liability. On Monday afternoon in Asheville, Indiana dominated Providence from start to finish, earning a 79-58 victory. Race Thompson led the way with his best performance as a Hoosier, helping the compensate for a sluggish (but still productive) game from Trayce Jackson-Davis. After the game, our crew broke it all down on The Assembly Call IU Postgame Show. On the mics: Coach, Jerod, and Chad Among the topics discussed: — Why the variety of ways Race impacted the game was so encouraging. — What to make of Trayce's uneven performance. — Al Durham's terrific bounceback effort. — Why Rob and Armaan were so important to Indiana's defense. — The positive signs from Lander and Hunter in otherwise forgettable performances. — Trey Galloway's impact and unique skillset. We also point out a few meaningful moments you may have missed, go inside the numbers, and hand out our game balls. All of that, and more, on this edition of The Assembly Call.
