A BIG Step Toward PLAY-IN | Milan - Maccabi | R31 BASKETBALL HIGHLIGHTS 2025-26 Milan ground out a hard-fought home win over Maccabi, making it five out of the last seven, after Shavon Shields hit a couple of clutch threes in the home stretch to fend off a spirited fightback from the visiting team. The hosts led for the lion’s share of the contest, by as many as 15 points in the third quarter, but Maccabi kept chipping away and closed in to 84-80 in the latter stages. Then Shields and big man Josh Nebo stepped up to the plate, as Milan improved to 16-15 while the Israeli side dropped to 14-16 after its first loss following four straight wins. Nebo led the charge with an impressive double-double of 19 points and 10 boards, Shields chipped in with 17 and Zach LeDay netted 15. Quinn Ellis added 12 points while Marko Guduric racked up 11 and 8 assists to underline a flowing team effort. At the other end, Lonnie Walker paced Maccabi on 16 points while Gur Lavi netted 15. Jimmy Clark and Roman Sorkin scored 13 each and O’Shae Brissett amassed 10 points with 12 rebounds. Myles Colvin led Wake Forest with 18 points and six rebounds. Sebastian Akins scored 14 points, including an important and-1 with 57 seconds left in overtime. Akins also had four rebounds and three assists. Tre'Von Spillers and Mekhi Mason each had 13 points. For Virginia Tech, Ben Hammond scored a game-high 23 points.
