En el choque ante Uruguay, el ex del Real Madrid 'molestó' lo justo a Rochet para que el portero uruguayo no viera el balón lanzado por Bruno Fernandes. El delantero corrió a celebrar el tanto como suyo, pero el fútbol de hoy en día está lleno de chivatos y el interior del balón oficial de Adidas, llamado Rhila, tiene un chip que determina el autor del último impacto del balón y el premiado en la ocasión no fue CR7 y sí su ya excompañero en el United. 'Falta de latido' del balón en el en el remate de Cristiano Sobre esta polémica, Adidas confirma que el capitán de Portugal no toca la pelota en el gol concedido a Bruno Fernandes. "Utilizando la tecnología 'Connected Ball' alojada en el balón oficial Al Rihla de Adidas, se puede mostrar que no hay ningún contacto en la pelota de Cristiano Ronaldo para el primer gol en el juego. No se pudo medir ninguna fuerza externa en la pelota, como se muestra por la falta de latido en el esférico y en las mediciones", afirma la multinacional alemana, fabricante del balón oficial del Mundial. Until now. Meet the new “semi-automated AI offsides technology” at the 2022 World Cup. This technology relies on a sensor in the ball that relays its position on the field 500 times a second, and 12 motion tracking cameras mounted underneath the roof of the stadium that use machine learning to track 29 points in players’ bodies. In other words, FIFA is mo-capping players, just without the funny gray suits. And the whole system will alert referees when a player is offside. If you’ve been watching the World Cup, you may have also seen the motion tracking information being used to create an immediate 3D replay. This system seems like it could be capable of eliminating “bad” offside calls, or maybe bad calls altogether - but its new precision will inevitably impact gameplay no matter what. And it’s interesting stuff - really showing that Mercedes are still trying to fully understand their car. It’s well known that Mercedes are still trying to get down to the weight limit - with many people estimating that they are nearly 10 kilograms overweight. They even went over the car and chose areas to cut back on paint, saving them about 350 kilograms. So why did they then bolt on this shiny sensor that weighs about 1.5 kilos? Is it worth taking Lewis’ car further overweight? Lewis said this just after Qualifying - “I’ve got something on my car which makes the car a little heavier… hopefully, it will enable the team to gather more information from the race tomorrow” So what are they trying to measure? And will it pay off? From what we know, Mercedes have a couple of main issues. Porpoising (which we’ll get to), weight and drag. Starting with drag, Toto has admitted that you can go cutting back wing angles and other downforce (but also drag) producing elements - but that leaves them with less downforce than other teams. Not ideal. They can recoup this, but only by dropping the ride height - which then sparks off their porpoising issues. So that is the problem, they need to figure out their porpoising issues to then increase downforce and cut back on drag. So it’s an issue that compounds. The car bounces and the drivers struggle to drive on the limit and the balance is all over the place - so you raise the car up but that comes with its own performance penalty. You decrease downforce from the floor - so have to compensate with draggy downforce from the wings. You can actually see it, look at the front wing of Charles, then Lewis. And it’s the same for the rear wing.
