We Were WRONG About Ben Simmons...3pt THREAT!!!
We Were WRONG About Ben Simmons...3pt THREAT!!!

Watching Ben Simmons airball completely wide open threes is nothing new. I mean look at this shot. It looks like a total amateur shot it. But what if I told you the secret that nobody mentions. That Simmons is actually a huge 3 point threat. Confused? Let me explain. What up everybody my name is Stefan and this is Heat Check. Let’s get into it. The sixers point guard is 1 for 6 from downtown so far this season, and here is the only three for you to see in all of its glory. However even with this insignificant line, and even with all the criticism towards him throughout the years, there is one statistic that will completely change your perception about him in relation to 3 point shooting. Check this out. Simmons leads the league in 3 point assists with 93, but the most staggering thing is the fact that when Ben Simmons is on the floor, the Sixers are shooting almost 41% on threes which is the second best percentage in the league at the moment. However when he’s off the floor, that number goes down to 29.0% which is by far the worst mark of any team in the league. That’s an unbelievable difference and we have to go deeper and try to break down why this happens. To be honest however, the story is pretty simple. The guy is a 1 man wrecking crew. Right here, he goes head first against 4 Timberwolves defenders all trying to stop him from getting to the rim. And as you can see, with nobody around him-Tobias Harris has all the time in the world to shoot this practice shot. And against Boston, at this moment Simmons is almost the last person on the court, but he outruns everyone with the ball in his hands, and again 4 guys around him, finds the open shooter and the bucket of course. And I can already hear you saying it, this is in transition but what happens when the game slows down. In half court offense. Well check out what happens. Right here Embiid is fighting for position and seems open for the lob. Ben is gonna fake the pass and get the help defender to commit and then rifle a bullet pass to Danny Green in the corner. There’s no time for a recovery and the open shot goes in. There are a ton of examples however as you can see- where Simmons penetrates and outmuscles his primary defender, so the help has to come, and he’s so intelligent that as soon as he sees that second body, immediately looks for the shooter. It’s either the penetration or the backdown that forces the opposing teams to send help and to leave a guy like Seth Curry, Danny Green or Tobias Harris just waiting for their opportunity to knock it down. And speaking of Seth Curry I’ve said it in a previous video but to me the guy really is an elite shooter. He’s not just Steph’s brother anymore. Way more than that. Shooting 49.3% from downtown is absolutely deadly, and if I’m Doc Rivers, I will look for ways to get his attempts way higher, since 2 out of 4 shots is way too low, Curry has proven that he can knock it down. But back to Simmons, I just wanted to make this video just for myself first and foremost, since I’m really not the biggest fan of his. I feel like having no shot is really limiting especially in the playoffs, but then when I saw the numbers it hit me, and I guess Doc Rivers was right when he said that in order to really appreciate Ben, you need to coach him, and really see how the game goes with and without him. Both on offense and on defence. That’s it for now, subscribe and help me get to 500 thousand subscribers. Talk to you in the next one. Peace out.

AJ Brown Sparks Tennessee Titans Second Half Comeback Vs Steelers
AJ Brown Sparks Tennessee Titans Second Half Comeback Vs Steelers

Titans WR A.J. Brown outruns Steelers on 73-yard TD, The Tennessee Titans haven’t gotten much going on offense on Sunday versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, but A.J. Brown may have given them a jolt of life. With a massive deficit, Brown outran Pittsburgh’s defense for a 73-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Tannehill: When the Titans need a huge play on offense, they often look in the direction of Brown. On second down, Tannehill quickly threw a slant to Brown and the second-year wideout did the rest by blazing past the defenders of the Steelers. Before Brown’s long touchdown reception, Tennessee had a total of 83 offensive yards. The defense of the Steelers has caused issues for the Titans and had kept them in check before this monster play. WHAT YOU DIDN'T SEE: Lebron James vs Luka Doncic EPIC BATTLE
WHAT YOU DIDN'T SEE: Lebron James vs Luka Doncic EPIC BATTLE

https://www.instagram.com/heatchecknba/ Lebron James admitted 1 thing to Luka Doncic after their deathmatch, and that is…: But it was the King who got the victory with the help of a genius play call that took it into overtime, that I will break down for everyone. What up everybody my name is Stefan and this is Heat Check. Let’s get into it. To understand what happened at the end, we need to backtrack a little and see how the game developed. Trust me it will all make sense in 1 minute. First of all, One of the reasons why James told Doncic what he told, is this- he absolutely dominated the Lakers off the Pick and Roll. Right off the start, Luka gets the screen, keeps the dribble and attacks Mcgee, giving enough time to Powell to roll and the easy dunk on the first play. When the Lakers adjusted and rotated down low as you see Kuzma right here, look at this quarterback vision and passing skills by Doncic to deliver a pass right on the money for the open 3. This is some Jason Kidd stuff right here done by a sophomore. Again, in crunch time, he doesn’t panic, stays patient as he receives the screen and look at this slow attack before the lob, just in time for Powell to catch and finish. Crazy control of the pace. Oh, and if you don’t wanna switch and help out on the screen, you know that this is what’s going to happen. Doncic finished with a triple double of 31/13 and 15. Monster numbers! But getting back to the game, all of this that I showed before, is why Dalas got the lead with 30 seconds to go. As Powel sets the screen and rolls, all that Luka has to do is a little pass fake, and causes Davis to react opening up the opportunity for a blow by and a layup. So as he goes inside, the entire LA lineup closes down the lane for him, leaving a wide open shooter in the corner, and Dorian Finney Smith hits this clutch 3 pointer giving the Mavs the lead. All this plus a missed free throw at the end, kept the door open at 3 point deficit and finally set up the play that saved the Lakers in this game. So here’s the thing: Lebron was outmuscling and outrunning the Mavs throughout the entire game, on his way to his own triple double. 39/12 and 16 unreal numbers for the king. It was pretty simple. Blowing past big guys with his speed like he does right here. And barreling his way to the rim whenever he had a quicker but smaller guy on him as you can see right here. So on that final play Dalas was right to be focused on him. But it was a bit too much. As he gets the ball and starts his drive, there are less than 4 seconds on the clock, probably about 2 by the time he lays it in. So with no time outs left for the Lakers, why are the Mavs afraid of these 2 points? Check this out: Maxi Kleber rotates to help, and meanwhile, Howard sets a screen, and in this situation gets away with a blatant and horrible foul, which gives Danny Green an open look in the corner. The more basketball savy viewers already recognize this play called a Hammer, which Popovich ran it a lot for Danny Green himself in San Antonio. It’s a misdirection play for the shooter to receive a screen in the corner as the defense is focusing on the strong side. I love these genius little tricks by the coaches at the end of games, which obviously can produce brilliant results. But again, I have to stress the foul that went uncalled here in this situation and cost Dalas the game. In OT, the dynamic duo of Lebron and AD was too much to handle, as the Lakers were able to come up with the victory at the end, but great effort and great start overall by Luka Doncic and the Mavs overall who I really need to do a dedicated video on, to break down their strong start this season. That’s it for now, if you liked this video, subscribe and hit the notification bell so that you don’t miss my future in depth analysis. Talk to you in the next one. Peace out.

Longest decision ever? Shoaib Malik's run-out against South Africa leaves 3rd umpire confused-

Longest decision ever? Shoaib Malik's run-out against South Africa leaves 3rd umpire confused The role of a third umpire came under the scanner in the third T20I between Pakistan and South Africa at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. The third umpire took incredibly long to dish out the final decision after a mix-up between Pakistan batsmen Shoaib Malik and Hussain Talat, which eventually resulted into a run-out. Meanwhile, it appeared as if Malik already knew he was out but he too had to wait for the final decision The incident happened in the 12th over of the Pakistan innings when Malik flicked the ball from spinner Tabraiz Shamsi straight to Andile Phehlukwayo on the leg side. He was quick to run for a single but never looked sure about the call as Talat eventually had to run in the same direction to save himself from getting dismissed. In the process, both the batsmen ended up running in the same direction trying to outrun each other but it was Malik who fell short at the end.
