My Calgary Hitmen In Four - No Games 65-68 Edition (S02E13)
Not really a game recap episode that I had in mind. However I still felt an episode was warranted to at least conclude the 2019-20 WHL Regular Season for the Calgary Hitmen four games early. See the link why the WHL has decided to conclude the season when they did. It's unknown if or when the WHL Playoffs will start and with the eventual Memorial Cup Champion crowned in Kelowna, British Columbia at this point. With the WHL Standings and remaining games left for the Calgary Hitmen. It wasn't going to change things too much or if any team outside looking in would of had a shot of making the playoffs. Still with the fate of the 2019-20 WHL Regular Season now known it was at least a nice way to put a bow on the season and also like last season. I've posted all the player stats for everyone that played at least a game for the Calgary Hitmen which this past season was their 25th Anniversary Season. It's too bad with recent events that it ended the way it did but hopefully there's going to be playoffs at some point. Puts them 4th in the Central Division, 1st in Eastern Conference Wild Card and 11th overall in the Western Hockey League (WHL). They would draw the Prince Albert Raiders in the first round of the 2020 WHL Playoffs under current format as the lower seed. May be a little bit of an easier opponent but more travel required. I would assuming possibly employing a 2-3-2 format. Prince Albert would host games 1 and 2. Calgary to host games 3, 4 and 5 with Prince Alberta hosting games 6 and 7. Coromandel NZ work up - kingfish at the boat! Had two good days up the Coromandel finding snapper and kahawai and kingfish. Landed reds up to 5-6kg on jigs, softbaits and some new Black Magic rigs. Epic fishing trip up at Cape Karikari - a crazy hot snapper bite as well as schools of trevally and kahawai, Dolphins, whales flying fish and sun fish also encountered. Headed out to the West Coast to experiment with a new drone called the Splash drone. The drone is waterproof and able to drag a long line and hooks out into the surf. It was a stunning day out fishing for snapper around Waiheke Island (Auckland, New Zealand). I headed out to the area north of Piha after some easterly patterns to find a gentle swell and promising looking ledges. Spectacular country, went looking for snapper, trevally and gurnard.
