As for the Philadelphia Flyers, they were a big shock! The teams in the Metropolitan that we thought would claim the second and third seeds like the Devils and Islanders fell apart this season, allowing the Flyers to have a good run and take the third seed. In the first round of the playoffs, the Hurricanes breezed by the Ottawa Senators in a 4 game sweep and really never was given too much trouble, however, they haven’t played as much recently, will this lead to rust in game 1 tonight for round 2? As for the Flyers, they are coming off of a thriller of a series. In round 1, the Flyers drew the Pittsburgh Penguins as opponents and had them pinned 3-0 in the series. At this point, the Penguins started to come back and forced to a game 6, which led to an OT 1-0 win over the Penguins in that game 6 to face the Hurricanes, so they are ready and pumped up! As we enter this round 2, can the Hurricanes keep up the momentum and make it to the Eastern Conference Finals again where they might make a run to the Stanley Cup Finals? Or will the Flyers end up continuing their cinderella run and be able to sneak a run to the Eastern Conference Finals by defeating the Hurricanes?
