Louisville vs Miami: The No. 5 ranked Louisville Cardinals had little trouble getting past Miami, 87-74. Jordan Nwora began the season nicely, leading the Cardinals with 23 points and 12 rebounds in the win. Nwora wowed the fans in attendance with an impressive blocked shot and an amazing 1-handed alley-oop. Ryan McMahon was key for the Cards as well as he made three straight 3-pointers during a 17-0 run in the first half. Chris Lykes paced the Hurricanes with 18 points in the loss. Notre Dame vs. Louisville: Louisville snapped a 3-game losing streak with a 75-61 win over Notre Dame. Despite only hitting two 3-pointers, Lousiville was able to win by dominating the boards, outrebounding Notre Dame 49-30, and holding the Fighting Irish to just 2 second-chance points. The Cardinals had two players record double-doubles in the win. Sophomore Jordan Nwora once again led Louisville in scoring with 20 points, and he also grabbed 10 rebounds. Malik Williams had 16 points and 13 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. For Notre Dame, John Mooney recorded another double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds.
