Mkhitaryan struggled at St James’ Park so could drop out of the team to make way for Pepe while Nelson will hope to keep his place after an encouraging showing. Alexandre Lacazette is also pushing for a start but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored twice in each of his last three appearances against Burnley and is certain to lead the line after also hitting the winner last time out. That leaves a front-three of Aubameyang, Nelson and Pepe. Mesut Ozil should come to replace Joe Willock just behind the front three after missing out last week because of security issues. Matteo Guendouzi is almost an automatic pick in midfield after a stunning display against Newcastle and is set to be partnered by Granit Xhaka.
