One of the Best ICONIC UPPERCUT in Modern Boxing! DAMN We Missed This Version of Him...

#anthonyjoshua Anthony Joshua climbed off the canvas to produce a dramatic late stoppage victory over Wladimir Klitschko in an epic heavyweight world title fight at Wembley. The 27-year-old appeared to be on the brink of his first professional defeat when he was floored in the sixth round, but staged a severe onslaught to halt Klitschko in the 11th round. Joshua successfully defended his IBF title, while also claiming the WBA 'super' belt, but there could be calls for a rematch after a classic heavyweight unification clash in front of a record 90,000 crowd at the national stadium. Klitschko had overcome a heavy knockdown in the fifth and the former unified champion defied questions about his advancing age until he finally wilted to defeat after being floored twice more. A fiery pyrotechnic show was part of Joshua's ring walk, but he was unable to display his explosive power in a tentative first round as Klitschko kept him at bay with probing jabs. Klitschko landed his straight right hand at the start of the second round, which was initially shrugged off by Joshua who answered with a crunching combination from close range in the third. Seconds into the fourth round, Klitschko stunned Joshua with a booming right hand, forcing the British fighter to hold on grimly before he replied with his own powerful right. Joshua stormed out for the fifth and floored Klitschko with a brutal barrage of punches, but the 41-year-old was far from finished and uncorked a lightning left hook to leave the home favourite in desperate trouble. With Joshua sagging worryingly on the ropes, Klitschko appeared on the brink of a stoppage victory, as he piled on more punches. Klitschko continued to stalk Joshua in the sixth, detonating a searing right hand to dump him heavily on the canvas, and the dazed 27-year-old staggered through the remainder of the round. Into the seventh, Joshua started talking defiantly to his seasoned foe after eating a few more punches, but Klitschko was having the final word with his piston-like jab. Joshua had been dragged into the longest fight of his career and tried to claw back control with two big right hands in the ninth, although he walked into a right from Klitschko in the 10th. Sensing the need for urgency, Joshua exploded out of his corner in the 11th, and a jolting uppercut left Klitschko on unsteady legs before he was sent crashing to the canvas by further punches. Joshua ruthlessly finished off his dazed foe, flooring him again with more savage shots, and referee David Fields signalled the finish to spark scenes of relieved celebration. Arce ASKED for it, Nonito Donaire being GENEROUS so he gave it!

#donaire The left hook of Nonito Donaire held a fiesta on the face of Jorge Arce Dec. 15 in front of a wild crowd at the Toyota Center in Houston, Tex. The pro Mexican crowd cheered for their beloved Arce, a proud warrior who's given some great thrill in his time, but their Spanish chants for Donaire's downfall could not improve Arce's underdog status. Arce was an underdog for a reason despite his decorated career. Donaire is bigger, faster, more athletic and came with a much more rounded set of boxing skills to bring to the cook-off, and he had Arce for dinner. Here's a look at Donaire's victory. Donaire came into the ring to a chorus of deep, spiteful boos from a pro Mexican audience here to support his opponent, the action-oriented Jorge Arce. And at 33 years old, he's expected to be the underdog against a prime, still-fresh Donaire. Arce has been in this position before. He fought Wilfredo Vázquez, Jr. on the undercard of Pacquiao-Mosley last year. Then-undefeated Puerto Rican world champ Vázquez was supposed to cruise through Arce on his way to the top, but Arce gave the crowd a bloody war en route to a stoppage victory in Round 12. The same man Donaire would go on to earn a split decision against was the same man Arce had stopped inside the distance, prompting Donaire to be careful initially. "Arce is an offensive type of fighter, so we already know what to expect that from him, but he is a dangerous guy," Donaire said after the fight. Donaire was cautious in the first round, but proved to be the more aggressive fighter, as he jabbed while moving forward and chasing Arce, who appeared intimidated by the speed and size of his opponent. Donaire sensed this uncharacteristic cautiousness in Arce and eventually launched a left hand that downed Arce in Round 2 after setting it up and watching the Mexican fighter move. "I got him with the jab and I knew what he was going to do [afterwards]," he said. Donaire hurt Arce, and in true vintage Arce-form, the warrior wanted to come back and show he was not hurt by the Filipino. Arce began to forgo defense in an attempt to get in close and make it a brawl. Donaire was able to catch Arce with even more counters and lefts, but was still able to maintain his defense and evasiveness as he continued to dominate the fight. "I knew that at any moment in any time of the round, every second can make a difference in that round," he said. In Round 3, Arce was dropped hard twice by the left hook. After the second knockdown in the round, Arce was on his back and clearly no longer about to continue. When asked how well he thought the knockout victory over Arce went, Donaire's trainer, Robert Garcia, said, "I honestly believe this is one of his best performances ever." Garcia described Arce as the "perfect opponent for Nonito to shine" due to his style. Donaire has been in fights that proved to be duds, such as last year's unanimous decision over Omar Narváez that was difficult for Donaire to generate the level excitement that his fans expect of him in world title fights. "We know the danger of having Arce in front of us, but we also know that style makes fights," Garcia said. "That was the perfect style for Nonito to shine.” Naturally, every member of the boxing media swarmed Donaire and his team with questions about who he'll fight next, specifically noting WBA 122 lb. title holders Guillermo Rigondeaux and Abner Mares. Donaire's trainer, Garcia, likes Mares over Rigondeaux due to the former's more exciting style than the latter among other things. "Mares would be a more exciting fight for the fans, for Mexican fans," Garcia said. "It would just be huge in the L.A. area, or in Vegas. That’s why I pick Mares, because that’s the fight we’re doing for the fans. We’re thinking about giving what the fans deserve.” Rigondeaux, while he does contain explosive power, is a bit timid with his punch output and is very comfortable with being defense-minded and evasive over explosive and exciting. But unlike Rigondeaux and Donaire, who are with Top Rank Promotions, Mares belongs with rival promoter Golden Boy. "That’s between them, I really don’t get involved," Garcia said concerning the subject of Donaire-Mares negotiations. "I don’t even really ask why or why not. That’s their job. They both have promoters; they both have managers ... If [they can't work out a deal], Nonito’s on top of the world, and he can make so many different decisions. Isaac "PITBULL" Cruz BRUTALLY "EATS" Yuriorkis Gamboa 🥊
Isaac "PITBULL" Cruz BRUTALLY "EATS" Yuriorkis Gamboa 🥊

#isaaccruz #pitbullcruz Artistic? Not at all. Brutal? Absolutely. Isaac Cruz battered Yuriorkis Gamboa mercilessly until the lightweight fight was finally stopped in the fifth round on the Errol Spence Jr.-Yordenis Ugas card Saturday in Arlington, Texas. Cruz (23-2-1, 16 KOs) made a strong impression in a losing cause against Gervonta Davis in December, losing a disputed decision. And the Mexican further enhanced his reputation against the 40-year-old Gamboa, although he had no desire to demonstrate his boxing skills in a seek-and-destroy effort. Cruz winged mostly wild punches from the opening bell. Many missed but enough didn’t, which led to Gamboa’s demise. The Cuban went down in each of Rounds 2, 3, 4 and 5. He refused to quit after the first three knockdowns, holding, moving, punching back, doing anything to survive. However, there was no coming back from the last knockdown, the result of a left hook to the head and then a right to the head, which sent a badly damaged Gamboa into the ropes. At that point, referee Mark Calo oy immediately gave Gamboa a bear hug, his way of saying enough was enough. The official time of the stoppage was 1:32 of Round 5. Gamboa was stopped by Davis in the 12th and final round and he went the distance with Devin Haney in his previous two fights. “I came here to box, not dance. I gave a spectacle here in Dallas,” Cruz said. Cruz is ranked by all four of the major sanctioning bodies. He’ll probably creep higher on each list after his spectacular victory on Saturday.
