Boomer, Pinder and Rhett react to the Montreal Canadiens absolutely rolling the Buffalo Sabres in a dominant 6-2 Game 3 win to take control of the second-round series. The guys dive into Montreal’s speed, confidence and depth scoring, with Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky and Alex Newhook all stepping up in a massive performance at the Bell Centre. They also spend plenty of time talking about Jakub Dobes, who continues to become a fan favourite in Montreal as the city fully embraces the rookie goalie during this playoff run. From the crowd chanting his name to his hilarious postgame comments, the “spring of Dobes” has officially arrived—and suddenly the Canadiens are starting to feel very dangerous. #nhl #nhlshorts #nhlplayoffs #nhlpredictions #nhlhockey #nhlpicks #stanleycup #stanleycupfinal #montrealcanadiens CHECK OUT OUR STUFF ⬇️ BARN BURNER MERCH https://nationgear.ca/collections/shirts/Flamesnation BARN BURNER SHORTS https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLj_bcGtvvo-cW2DHEDZ6dEO5ePDmlhZc9&si=jo8iNGxT4ImhS2Y8 📲 Follow us: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fnbarnburner/ X (Twitter): https://x.com/barnburnerfn?lang=en 🎧 Listen on: Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/be/podcast/barn-burner-boomer-pinder-with-rhett-warrener/id1648562889 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3Mc6Qd5U22R2zbMlQ7RxIi Producer: Jack Haverstock

Here we go again! Everyone at this point last year made it this far. The cream has risen to the top, the contenders have eased passed the pretenders. And what do we have left in the Central? Komets versus Walleye...again... The Komets got to this point by making quick work of the Indy "Fishers" Fuel in round 1. Winning the series in 5 games with 2 shutouts to boot, one by each goaltender. The K's will be riding with Samuel Jonsson as their goalie of choice for the foreseeable future. He has been standing on his head this series with only 2 goals allowed in 2 games and a .961 save %. In the playoffs you need your goals to come from everyone, The Komets have been doing that. The snakebitten Leo, Indiana native Matthew Miller finally got his first home goal as a Komet in game 5 of the first round. Brady Stonehouse who had his fair share of tough luck has 3 goals and is a plus 3 thus far. Stoney is the type of sandpaper player that is built for the playoffs, and if he can keep up that scoring clip, then everyone should take note. Not to mention that the top guys are scoring as well, Austin Magera leads the playoffs with 7 assists to go with 3 goals. 2 Points per game is an insane clip regardless who the opponent is. Every Komet on the active playoff roster has recorded at least 1 game, a true sign of the team's depth. Maybe this year will be different, the Komets have the talent to make that elusive deep run that hasn't happened since they won it all back in 2021. They have not lost at home so far in the playoffs going a perfect 3-0 at home up to this point. The Toledo Walleye have had a slightly different road up to this point. They won their series in 6 games to the Bloomington Bison. To the surprise of very few, Brandon Hawkins leads the team in points with 8. One thing they have been doing well was tearing up Bloomington's defense. Scoring 24 goals in 6 games well distributed up and down the line-up. Take it with a grain of salt, because Bloomington was playing catch up mode most of the series, Carter Gylander has a sub .900 save percentage, although not by much. What is alarming is what was the 6th best PK in the league comes in the playoffs with a college failing grade at 64.3% (however, that would have passed my weighted Differential Equations class I had the displeasure to take in college.) The Komets special teams have been firing up at the right time, Toledo will need to find that regular season groove to keep up and to prove that they are not cooling off at the worst time possible. This series will be chaos, as it always is. With Toledo getting the best of Fort Wayne the last couple of times last year and back in 2019. That series last year was painful for Komets fans. A golden opportunity was squandered as the underdog team. Now The K's are the top seed with home ice advantage, now is the time to dethrone the Fish once and for all. For Toledo Walleye, the ever elusive Kelly Cup has been teasingly close. They would love to win this series to continue narratives against a division foe and to bring home Toledo's first hockey championship in 32 years.

Fresh off the release of their official roster, the Czechs enter the 2026 World Championship in Switzerland with a squad that blends elite European league stars with key NHL reinforcements. While they are missing a few marquee names like David Pastrňák, head coach Radim Rulík has assembled a "pesky" group that specializes in structured, high-pressure hockey. 🏒 The 2026 Team Czechia Roster Breakdown The Blue Line (Defense): The Powerhouse: Filip Hronek – The Vancouver Canucks star is the undisputed engine of this defense. Expect him to log massive minutes and quarterback the top power-play unit. The Veteran Core: Michal Kempný & Libor Hájek – Bringing a combined wealth of NHL and international experience, these two provide the stability and poise needed in high-stakes defensive zone starts. Tactical Depth: Jan Ščotka, Tomáš Galvas, Jiří Ticháček, Marek Alscher, and Tomas Cibulka. Watch out for Galvas—the 20-year-old is a rising prospect expected to make waves before the 2026 NHL Draft. The Netminder Trio (Goalies): The Tandem: Josef Kořenář & Petr Kváča – With several regulars unavailable, Kořenář and Kváča will battle for the starting role. Both have been standout performers in the Czech Extraliga and are ready for the international spotlight. The Support: Dominik Pavlát – A reliable third option currently honing his craft in the Finnish Liiga. The Forward Group: The Captain: Roman Červenka – The ageless wonder returns. Even at 40, his vision and leadership remain the heartbeat of the Czech offensive attack. The NHL Impact: Matěj Blümel & Jaroslav Chmelař – Blümel brings high-end AHL scoring pedigree (21 goals for Providence), while the 6'4" Chmelař provides the heavy-body presence needed to win net-front battles. The Creative Engines: Dominik Kubalík & David Tomášek – Kubalík’s shot remains a threat from anywhere in the circle, while Tomášek looks to translate his SHL dominance back to the world stage. The Grit & Depth: Lukáš Sedlák, Jakub Flek, Ondřej Beránek, Jiří Černoch, Martin Kaut, Michal Kovařčík, Jan Mandát, Matyáš Melovský, and Daniel Voženílek. 📅 What’s Covered in This Video: Roster Analysis: How Czechia plans to replace Pastrňák’s production with a "scoring by committee" approach.
