Valencia maintained a double-digit advantage until the closing stages of the second quarter, when Cedi Osman bagged 10 straight points that cut the deficit to 37-44 at halftime and shifted the momentum. A tight third quarter saw both defenses up their game before Nunn took over with 8 points in a row for Panathinaikos’s first lead in the last two games, 51-50. Yet, Valencia fought back and took a 56-60 edge into the fourth, where the two teams engaged in a trade of blows that saw the hosts struggle to find their range from deep and the guests protect a narrow advantage to seal a third consecutive victory in Athens this season. Montero pulled off an extraordinary outing, recording 29 points, 7 rebounds, as many assists and 4 steals. Osman paced Panathinaikos with 26 points and Nunn added 19 in a losing effort.
