Nebraska Hosting Iowa Big Ten Baseball Weekend Series Preview
Nebraska Hosting Iowa Big Ten Baseball Weekend Series Preview

The Nebraska baseball team is looking to bounce back after a difficult weekend at Ohio State, where the Huskers were swept in a three-game series. Nebraska entered that series ranked No. 16 nationally but has since dropped to No. 25 in the D1Baseball poll and No. 24 in the coaches poll. The shift in rankings carries postseason implications, as the top 16 teams in the country typically host an NCAA regional. While that goal remains within reach, the Huskers will likely need a strong finish to the regular season. Nebraska begins that push this weekend with its final home series at Haymarket Park against Iowa. “Kind of just flushing it and leaving it in Ohio,” Short Stop Dylan Carrey said. “There’s no reason to think about it when we’re at home and have an opportunity this next week.” The Huskers emphasized regrouping after the series, focusing on both corrections and positives. “It wasn’t how we wanted it to go,” Pitcher Jalen Worthley said. “It was pretty sloppy all around, but you learn from it. You don’t want to dwell on it too much, but you do want to acknowledge what you’re doing wrong.” Head coach Will Bolt said the team is working to regain its energy and consistency, including a key change to the pitching staff. Ty Horn is expected to move from the bullpen back into the starting rotation for the series against the Hawkeyes. Nebraska is aiming for a strong close to the season, with seven regular-season games remaining. First pitch for the Iowa series is set for Friday night at 6 PM CST at Haymarket Park. Saturday and Sunday games are scheduled for the first pitch at 2 PM CST. #nebraskabaseball #huskers #cornhuskers #huskersbaseball #bigtenbaseball

Sixers DESTROYED In Game 1… But The Knicks Will NOT Shoot Like That Again! #76ers #Sixers #NBA

The Sixers lose to the Knicks 137-98 in Game 1 of the NBA Playoffs 2nd Round. They got smacked from the first quarter. The backups were in during the entire 4th quarter. Joel Embiid had a good start to the game but only finished with 14 points in 25 minutes. Tyrese Maxey struggled mightily against the length of the Knicks and went 3/9 for 13 points with 4 turnovers. Paul George had 17 points on 4 three pointers. But the team defense was non-existent. The Knicks shot a crazy 51% from three point range and 63% from the field. Jalen Brunson led the charge with 35 points on 12/18 from the field. The Sixers need to flush this one and move on. The Knicks lead the series 1-0. #Sixers #76ers #joelembiid #paulgeorge #tyresemaxey #quentingrimes #vjedgecombe #kellyoubrejr #nicknurse #NBA #76ersnews #SixersNews #nbanews #nbashorts #youtubeshorts #shorts #dominickbarlow #andredrummond #justinedwards #knicks #newyorkknicks #jalenbrunson #nbaplayoffs FOLLOW US ON ALL PLATFORMS: -All Of The Philly Take with RB Social Links: https://linktr.ee/phillytakewithrb -Quick Link To Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/phillytakewithrb/ -Quick Link To Twitter: https://twitter.com/RBPhillyTake -Quick Link To Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/phillytakewithrb/ -Quick Link To TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@phillytakewithrb CHECK OUT THE NEW MERCH: https://phillytakewithrb.com/ JOIN THE PHILLY TAKE DISCORD: https://discord.gg/ydFcra538h JOIN CHANNEL MEMBERSHIPS: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ6xo8_BSzZJVYfWEqEt1Gw/join SUPPORT THE GROWTH OF THE SHOW: -Venmo: https://venmo.com/phillytakewithrb -CashApp: https://cash.app/$phillytakewithrb *ROAD TO 55K SUBS*

WILD: Move Over BYU, Texas Tech NIL and Say Hello to West Virginia, Oklahoma State Football Spenders

The 2026 NIL landscape has shifted the balance of power in the Big 12, as Oklahoma State and West Virginia have executed a massive financial pivots to leapfrog established spenders like Texas Tech and BYU. While the Red Raiders and Cougars dominated the early NIL era, the "Pokes" and "Mountaineers" have recently tapped into deep-pocketed alumni networks to create a new tier of spending. Oklahoma State has signaled its "all-in" mentality with an estimated $55 million in collective NIL spending for 2026. This surge was catalyzed by a culture shift in Stillwater; after Mike Gundy famously took a $1 million pay cut to seed NIL funds, the "Pokes with a Purpose" collective saw record-breaking donor participation. This war chest was the primary engine behind the shocking commitment of Audi Crooks, who reportedly commanded a package exceeding $500,000—a figure previously unheard of for a single women’s basketball transfer at OSU. Similarly, West Virginia has utilized the "Country Roads Trust" to reach an $8–$9 million threshold for basketball alone, placing them in the nation's top tier. This investment allowed the Mountaineers to secure elite talent like Sam Leavitt ($4M valuation) and compete directly with Blue Bloods in the portal. By contrast, while Texas Tech and BYU remain "elite" spenders with healthy infrastructures, their growth has stabilized. Oklahoma State and WVU have entered a "hyper-growth" phase, realizing that in the 2026 conference hierarchy, being "flush with cash" is the only way to prevent being left behind in the next round of realignment.
