The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled the schedule for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. The tournament is set to commence on March 22, 2025, with the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), hosting Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will begin their campaign on March 23, 2025, facing Mumbai Indians (MI) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Their first encounter with RCB is scheduled for March 28, 2025, also at their home ground in Chennai. In preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, both Bangladesh and Afghanistan have announced their squads. Bangladesh's 15-member squad, led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, includes seasoned players like Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah. Notably, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and wicketkeeper-batsman Litton Das have been excluded from the squad. Afghanistan's squad, captained by Hashmatullah Shahidi, sees the return of opener Ibrahim Zadran after recovering from ankle surgery.
