Playing in the NCAA Tournament is always the coolest thing that can happen to a college basketball program and its fan base. But going on a run in the WNIT can be pretty cool. The 2016 USD Coyotes proved that. So did the 2022 SDSU Jackrabbits. Both won the event. The wave of momentum and goodwill that builds for a program after each win during its March mulligan is palpable, especially when every game is at home, as it was for the two aforementioned squads. The wave is swelling in Vermillion after USD's thrilling 65-56 win over Montana State on Monday to reach the "Fab 4" round. The Happy Hour host carves into the unique buzz (and bond between team and fans) that continues to grow during this latest WNIT run.
