LOS ANGELES KINGS FIND POWER PLAY TO BEAT MONTREAL CANADIENS, END LOSING SKID

Coach reviews the game between the Kings and the Canadiens: LOS ANGELES KINGS FIND POWER PLAY TO BEAT MONTREAL CANADIENS, END LOSING SKID Alex Iafallo had two goal and an assist, and the Los Angeles Kings ended a six-game losing streak by beating the Montreal Canadiens 5-2 on Saturday. Kalyiev and Kapuri each scored on the power play, Kopitar and Roy each had two assists, and the Kings won for the first time since their season opener. Cal Petersen made 26 saves. Los Angeles was 3-for-5 on the power play after going 2-for-21 over the previous six games, and coach Todd McLellan said it made all the difference. “It gave us a cushion. It gave us some comfort. It gave us confidence," McLellan said. “We’ve been waiting for that to happen.” Josh Anderson scored for the second straight game, but the Canadiens were unable to post consecutive wins for the first time this season. Jake Allen allowed five goals on 38 shots. Montreal held a lengthy team meeting following the loss. “It takes a certain level of compete, a certain level of work to win in this league every night. And right now, we’re not willing to give that on a consistent basis. And our results show that,” Canadiens defenseman said. After scoring just six goals in the second period through seven games, Los Angeles got two against Montreal, with special teams putting them in front after being largely absent during the winless skid. Kaliyev buried a powerful wrist shot from the left circle to put the Kings ahead 2-1 at 12:19. It was his second career goal and first on the power play. Los Angeles carried the momentum into the third, with Kupari scoring for the second straight game to make it 3-1 1:53 into the period. “And when you score like that on the power play, other parts of your game come along with it,” McLellan said. “You get confident. I think that might have been the difference in the game tonight.” Iafallo extended the lead to 4-1 at 5:37, and he got the Kings’ third power-play goal at 14:16. It was the Kings’ first game with multiple power-play goals since defeating Vegas on opening night. The difference, Iafallo said, came down to being willing to shoot. “I feel like we’ve been working on it in practice, and it hasn’t been going for us well in the last few games, but tonight, what we wanted to focus on was getting shots through, no matter where it’s coming from,” Ben Chiarot he said. The Canadiens took a 1-0 lead at 18:22 of the first period on Anderson’s wrist shot from the right circle, but the Kings tied it up at 1-all when Ardvisson beat Allen with a wrist shot from the right circle at 4:31. “We don’t seem to have the right response now, the right kind of fight back, and that’s the biggest thing,” said Chiarot, who scored with 2:20 remaining in the third to make it 5-2. “I mean, we had momentum kind of rolling in that game, and then it kind of flips on us. Bunch of penalties, obviously, but we have to be able to bounce back.” Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpEAmARN_Ud9j9TwjmI2dbA/join Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE to our YOUTUBE CHANNEL and FACEBOOK PAGE: HOCKEY NATION LIVE SHOW Social Media Links: Twitter: https://twitter.com/CoachFrenchy10X Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/coachfrenchyhockeynation Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/hockeynationliveshow Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/coach-frenchy-71715984 Email: coach@coachfrenchy.com Subscribe here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpEAmARN_Ud9j9TwjmI2dbA HELP AND SUPPORT OUR CHANNEL: BUY A PUCK SUPPORT buymeacoffee.com/coachfrenchy AAFIALTES PROGRAM WE OFFER: BUY JERSEY: BENCH CLEARERS USE THE CODE: “COACHFRENCHYSENTME” FOR 15% OFF https://benchclearers.com/discount/COACHFRENCHYSENTME?aff=32 COACHFRENCHYSENTME - 15% off SIGN UP TO TUBE BUDDY https://www.tubebuddy.com/HOCKEYNATIONLIVESHOW Video Thumbnail created with https://www.canva.com IF YOU WANT TO JOIN CANVA PLEASE SIGN UP HERE: https://partner.canva.com/doOyBj ALL THE MUSIC ARE UNDER EPIDEMIC SOUND: IF WANT TO SUBSCRIBE CLICK HERE: https://www.epidemicsound.com/referral/l6ox6v/ RESTREAM: https://restream.io/join/g31Nr *Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Habs VS Lightning Game 1 Review + Reaction
Habs VS Lightning Game 1 Review + Reaction

OK, in this video, its time to do a game review of the first game of the Stanley Cup Finals, between the Montreal Canadiens and the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Lightning won this game by a score of 5-1, and they absolutely dominated the Habs in every aspect. The lone goal scorer for the Habs was Ben Chiarot, while the Tampa Bay Lightning had goals from Eric Cernak, Yanni Gourde, Nikita Kucherov x 2, and Steven Stamkos. The Lightning were definitely the biggest challenge the Habs have seen this entire season and post season, causing lots of havoc, as they are built like an all star team and have an explosive offense. Game 2 will be played tomorrow night, and Habs fans are remaining optimistic that if they win game 2, and split the series heading back to the Bell Center in Montreal, things will not be as bad! If you guys are a fan of the Habs, or just hockey in general, please consider subscribing to my channel , as I upload hockey content daily and would really enjoy, having some more of you grasshoppers tag along for the ride!

John Tavares (NHL) Head INJURY | Was it MANAGED Correctly? | Doctor Explains!
John Tavares (NHL) Head INJURY | Was it MANAGED Correctly? | Doctor Explains!

Toronto Leafs captain John Tavares was taken off the ice on a stretcher following a dangerous hit to the head. This unfortunately occurred in game one of the Toronto Maple Leafs vs Montreal Canadiens NHL play off series. He fell first by a hit from Ben Chiarot. As he was down, he took a knee from Corey Perry, and this was the hit that unfortunately did him in. However, the more pressing matter was the fans reactions to how the situation was handled and if the trainer provided appropriate care. Two acute injuries you don't want to miss in this case are head injuries (skull fracture, intracranial bleeds), and cervical spine trauma (fractures). Either of these, if bad enough can cause lasting neurological damage, and even death. In the context of first responder care of an athlete with a dangerous head hit, we try out best to keep them on the ground and to avoid having them stand up as seen with Tavares. The trainer in this case did his best to stabilize the spine, however, in an ideal world, Tavares would have been kept on the ground, on his back until they were able to board him. While the c-spine is being stabilized, other individuals are responsible for checking the ABC's. These include: airway, breathing, and circulation. Lastly, once the player is safely boarded and taken off the ice, it would be important to put on a c-spine collar and do a quick neurological exam to determine if there was any neurological compromise. Habs lose to Flames 5-2 with embarrassing performance in must-win | Habs 2020-21 Season | Episode 46

The Montreal Canadiens would play Calgary in the Saddledome again tonight and would end up losing 5-2 in what turned out to be Cayden Primeau's first game of the season. Nick Suzuki would open the scoring before Johnny Gaudreau would tie it up with 30 seconds left in the 1st period. Milan Lucic and Johnny Gaudreau would score to make it 3-1 but Tyler Toffoli the birthday boy would make it 3-2 before the end of the 2nd period. Brett Ritchie after slewfooting Ben Chiarot would make it 4-2 and Rasmus Andersson would get the empty net goal from his own zone to seal the victory.
