Hartford's Hassan Attia dunked with 1:41 left for the game's final points. Vermont (22-6, 12-1 America East) missed a 3-pointer with 1:20 to go and then had two shots blocked at the rim in the final seconds by John Carroll and Attia. The loss ended the Catamounts' 33-game win streak in conference games and their 22-game home streak. Vermont was the nation's last team that was unbeaten in conference play. Hartford (16-11, 9-4) had lost nine straight to Vermont.
