With the score tied at 52 and less than 4 seconds remaining on the clock, Burns, Jr. made a great move in the post to shake free and bury the go-ahead layup. Burns scored a team-high 13 points in the win. The Irish came into the game hot, built a double-digit first-half lead and led until the final moments. Notre Dame was led by freshman Markus Burton, who scored a game-high 18 points in a losing effort.
