Huskers explode for 36 runs on the weekend in the Cornhuskers first ranked sweep since 2015. They are now 31-9 overall, 15-3 in the Big Ten.With the win, the Huskers jump from not being ranked to sitting at No. 20 in this week’s D1 Baseball rankings. They did it against one of the nation’s top pitching staffs. Big Red got it done with two run-rule wins on the weekend and a comeback victory Friday night in extra innings. Big Red’s bats piled up 40 hits, with big series from Dylan Carey, Drew Grego and Mac Moyer.Pitching wise, Carson Jasa delivered a complete game on the mound on Saturday while former Friday starter Ty Horn showed his value in his new bullpen role pitching Friday and Saturday in relief. All of it was done in front of history — a record Big Ten series crowd of 21,383 at Hawks Field. Nebraska sits 2nd in the Big Ten standings at 15-3. Well behind leaders UCLA who are 21-0 in conference play. Next.
