Aber „Againts All Odds“ dominierten die Kalifornier die erste Spielhälfte, versäumten es aber wie in der Partie bei den Tennessee Titans mehr Punkte aufs Scoreboard zu bringen. Nach der Halbzeitpause konnten die Niners nach einer Interception von K`Waun Williams durch einen Touchdown von Deebo Samuel auf 23:7 davonziehen. Es sah nach einem ungefährdeten Auswärtserfolg in Texas aus, aber es kam wie es kommen musste und die Cowboys kamen in die Partie zurück. Dabei boten die 49ers ein Spiegelbild der Saison: Turnover, ausgelassene Möglichkeiten in Offense wie Defense und auch die schon gewohnten kostspieligen Fehler in den Special Teams wurden aufgeführt.
