Justin Lewis led all players with 19 points and nine rebounds to pace Marquette to a wire-to-wire win late on Thursday night. The win was the second of the year for MU over Villanova, becoming only the second team to sweep the regular season series with VU since 2013. Tyler Kolek added 18 and six assists for MU while Darryl Morsell scored 15, including several key buckets down the stretch. Brandon Slater led the Wildcats with 18 in the setback.

Zach Freemantle was the only Musketeer to score in double-figures, pouring in 23 points on 9-13 shooting to lead Xavier to a wire-to-wire rivalry win on Wednesday. Chuck Harris and Jayden Taylor both scored 18 for the Bulldogs. The game was part of the BIG EAST honors the Black Fives initiative. Xavier wore shooting shirts representing the Lion Tamers of Cincinnati, while Butler repped the Short's Cafe Fives from Franklin, Indiana.

Providence finished with four double-figure scorers and won its sixth-straight to improve to 19-2 on the year in a hard-fought BIG EAST battle at St. John's. Jared Bynum led the way for the Friars with 19 points off the bench, including a 4-of-5 effort from beyond the arc. Nate Watson finished with 16 and Al Durham and Noah Horchler each added 14. For the Red Storm, Posh Alexander had a career day with 29 points to go along with 11 assists and five rebounds. The contest was part of the 'BIG EAST Honors Black Fives' initiative, with St. John's representing the St. Christopher's Club from Harlem and Providence sporting the look of the Vandal Athletic Club out of Atlantic City.

The contest was part of the 'BIG EAST Honors Black Fives' initiative. Seton Hall represented the Owl Field Club out of Newark, while Georgetown honored the Washington Bears.
