Update: The RSPCA have now taken away Kurt Zouma's cats. The 27-year-old West Ham defender issued an apology but Essex Police confirmed "urgent enquiries" were underway in conjunction with the RSPCA. The RSPCA released a statement on Wednesday saying the cats "are safe and in our care". --- West Ham will deal with Kurt Zouma as seriously as possible, subject to due process after video emerged of him abusing his cat, Sky Sports News understands, but the club will back David Moyes' 'footballing decisions'. It is understood Moyes is and will be fully backed by the club and, as things stand, Zouma is available to play against Leicester on Sunday having played the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 win over Watford on Tuesday. However, that situation could change. It is unlikely his actions will lead him to being sacked, but any club fines will be donated to animal welfare charities. Zouma was condemned by his club, the RSPCA and other animal welfare groups after footage showed him hitting, dropping, and kicking his pet across his kitchen floor on Monday. ► Subscribe to Sky Sports News: http://bit.ly/SkySportsNewsSub #SkySportsNews #SkySports #WestHamUnited More from Sky Sports on YouTube: ► Sky Sports Retro: http://bit.ly/SkySportsRetroSub ► Sky Sports: http://bit.ly/SkySportsSub ► Sky Sports Football: http://bit.ly/SSFootballSub ► Sky Sports Boxing: http://bit.ly/SSBoxingSub ► Sky Sports F1: http://bit.ly/SubscribeSkyF1 ► Sky Sports Cricket: http://bit.ly/SubscribeSkyCricket ► Sky Sports Golf: https://bit.ly/SubscribeSkySportsGolf

Series, Schedule, All Matches, Team Squad, Players And Playing Xi, Match Preview........It is an exclusive platform for sports news updates for the fans, not just from the sub-continent but the world over what can be called a major development, Hardik Pandya is set to lead the Ahmedabad-based franchise in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The all-rounder, who served Mumbai Indians ever since his IPL debut in 2015, was released ahead of the upcoming mega auctions. Hence, he’ll either get picked by one of the two new franchises or will land in the auction pool. the two franchises – Lucknow and Ahmedabad – can pick a maximum of three players from the list of non-retained players ahead of the bidding event. With Pandya being a proven star of this format, he’s most likely to earn a contract from one of the two new teams. While no official confirmation has come yet, Pandya hasn’t just been reportedly signed by Ahmedabad but is also set to lead the team. Shreyas Iyer also in contention to lead Ahmedabad The major development was carried out by veteran journalist K Shriniwas Rao. “Hardik Pandya will be the captain of the brand new Ahmedabad franchise (not Shreyas),” wrote the journalist in a tweet. It must be noted that the earlier reports suggested former Delhi Capitals batter Shreyas Iyer will lead the team. However, Pandya has emerged as a new front-runner to take the position. Meanwhile, it was also learnt that leg-spinner Rashid Khan has also been picked by the Ahmedabad team. “They’re getting Rashid Khan on board too,” the tweet read further. Meanwhile, Pandya has been struggling with his fitness issues in the last couple of years. Hence, it would be interesting to see how he embraces captaincy, in case the reports turn out to be true. The all-rounder was last seen in the T20 World Cup 2021, where he faced massive backlash for his lackluster show. He couldn’t bowl much due to his back issues. Pandya was dropped from the team since then and IPL 2022 is likely to witness his comeback over the 22 yards. Meanwhile, KL Rahul has reportedly been roped in as captain for the Lucknow team. Hence, it would be interesting to see who’ll be the initial picks of the two new IPL teams. #CricketSuperfans #Cricket #ipl #ipl2022 #teamindia #cricketnews
The Team England Player Partnership (TEPP) Friday said England Cricket Board (EBC) kept the union in the dark about their decision to cancel Pakistan's tour after New Zealand made a similar decision last week. "The players were not consulted about the tour," TEPP clarified. The England cricketers’ union added that the cricket board informed the players about the decision after their board meeting. "Players were neither consulted before the tour was finalised nor were they taken on board over the decision to cancel the tour," it said. The TEPP added: "At no point were the team players taken into confidence." Addressing the backlash received after England decided to cancel their tour to Pakistan, the cricketers union said: "The ECB's decision drew unnecessary criticism on players." ECB cancelled Pakistan tour after New Zealand pull out On September 20, the ECB cancelled its tour to Pakistan days after New Zealand had pulled its team out at the last minute ahead of its series due to "security" concerns. Expressing regret, ECB had said, "we understand that this decision will be a significant disappointment to the PCB", who have worked tirelessly to host the return of international cricket in their country.
