The Oklahoma City Thunder officially sweep LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers out of the playoffs in dominant fashion. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and OKC closed the series 4-0 and proved they are one of the most dangerous teams in the NBA right now. LeBron tried to keep the Lakers alive, but the Thunder’s speed, defense, and clutch shot-making were too much to overcome. Lakers fans are now left wondering what moves the team will make this offseason and whether this could be the end of an era for LeBron in Los Angeles. Did the Thunder just announce themselves as true championship contenders? 👀 #NBA #Lakers #LeBronJames #Thunder #OKCThunder #ShaiGilgeousAlexander #NBAPlayoffs #Basketball #nbatalk

Use code “Wheels” at https://d1ba.se/wheels for 30% off a subscription! Covering sports in a unique way since 2018. If you’re looking for high quality sports content, then this is the channel for you! I’ve covered Baseball (NCAA, LLWS, Professional), Football (NCAA, NFL), Softball (NCAA), Basketball (NBA, NCAA), Hockey (NHL), and much more! The best part of my work as a YouTuber is being able to provide coverage of sports that may not receive as much attention as they should to the large audience I have built over the years. Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other YouTubers, which makes this channel that much more important. One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side. I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns. Zach Berman opened the episode by announcing that New Jersey Devils General Manager Sunny Mehta made his first major hire of the offseason, bringing in Braden Birch as Assistant General Manager and as General Manager of the Utica Comets, the Devils’ AHL affiliate. This move marks the beginning of Mehta’s efforts to strengthen the Devils’ front office, starting by recruiting talent from his previous organization, the Florida Panthers, where Birch played a pivotal role in their recent Stanley Cup successes. In detailing Birch’s background, Zach Berman highlighted his 12-year tenure with the Panthers, most recently as Director of Hockey Operations and salary cap management. Birch's experience includes significant involvement in contract negotiations for key players and maintaining Florida’s excellent salary cap health, something the Devils have struggled with in recent years. His hockey roots include playing professionally and earning a master’s degree in sport management, further underscoring his blend of on-ice and management expertise. Zach Berman provided examples of Birch’s impact in Florida, referencing his hand in savvy contracts and cap management for top players like Aleksander Barkov, Matthew Tkachuk, Sergei Bobrovsky, and Sam Reinhart. He also noted Florida’s ability to replace key departures internally and find valuable contributors through their farm system or waivers, contrasting this with New Jersey’s struggles to develop homegrown talent or depth. The hire of Birch is positioned as Mehta’s commitment to instilling a more proactive, organized, and effective approach to team building in New Jersey. To conclude, Zach Berman speculated about future front office moves, suggesting that Bryan McCabe could be another addition if not intercepted by the Maple Leafs, and addressed the current uncertainty regarding other Devils executives. He emphasized that Birch’s arrival should significantly improve the Devils’ farm system—considered among the league’s weakest—and that player development is critical to reducing reliance on expensive acquisitions. The episode closed with the assertion that Mehta’s moves signal an exciting, less predictable era for the Devils, promising ongoing updates and further discussion of mock drafts and organizational changes. Hello everyone and welcome to another End to End Hockey video during the offseason, in this video we are talking about some more news and rumours as we start off by looking at 5 signings as the Penguins signed Dewar to a 2 year extension to help him remain with them, Borvik signs a ELC in Utah and more, then we look at a slew of injury updates including around Carrick, Manson and Tippett amongst others, look at some roster movement with Colorado, Philly and St.Louis, Stars want to sign Robertson, Cap set for upcoming season, Selke and Norris finalists announced, plus we look at waivers including with no one on waivers plus more updates and then we also talk about some trade rumours as first I look at the Devils as I came across a report that mentioned that if the Devils wanted to improve their offense in the offseason they could look to target a Kraken player who is known for goal scoring, then we look at the Penguins as after being 1st rounded it seems like big changes are coming as they could let Malkin walk and apparently could look to deal 2 big time vets on their team and lastly I look at the Hawks and Leafs as according to Pagnotta the Blackhawks really want Matthew Knies and could look to try again to add him this offseason and may dangle the 4th overall pick to get him and I would love to hear your thoughts on all that was discussed in today’s video down in the comments section below.
