As expected, the Buccaneers made a flurry of changes from the side that defeated Free State Stars, as only Abubakar Mobara, Happy Jele and Justin Shonga kept their spot Vincent Pule had an early chance for Bucs in the fourth minute, sneaking in at the near post following a cross from Mobara on the right channel but his effort was kept out by a Stars defender. African Stars were confidently playing from the back, but they were often let down by the final ball whenever they did get out of their own half. Linda Mntambo almost broke the deadlock for the hosts in the 22nd minute after latching onto a clever free-kick from the far right side, but his effort sailed just wide. The Buccaneers were in full control fore most of the half, but they had no clear-cut chances to show for the dominance until the 40th minute when Shonga volleyed wide from close range. Three minutes into the second half, Shonga should have made it 1-0 for the hosts after missing with a free-header from six-yards following a cross from Pule. As the hosts struggled to get the break through, a double substitution was made on the hour-mark as Thembinkosi Lorch and Augustine Mulenga replaced Mpho Makola and Meshack Maphangule. Shonga had the ball in the back of the net moments later for the hosts, but he accidentally handled the ball inside the box before firing a low shot and the goal was ruled out. Pirates made their third and final substitution in the last quarter of an hour, bringing on the more attacking Thabo Qalinge in place of Mobara. Pule came close to snatching the lead for Sredojevic’s men 12 minutes before time with a free-header inside the box that was saved by Stars shot-stopper Ratanda Mbazuvara. The Samba Boys defended in numbers in the closing minutes and denied the home side any clear sight at goal in the closing stages as the first leg ended scoreless. Here's how they lined up: Pirates: Mabokgwane, Jele, Munetsi, Mobara, Maela, Mako, Makola, Mntambo, Maphangule, Pule, Shonga. Subs: Mpontshane, Mbekile, Nyatama, Mlambo, Qalinge, Lorch, Mulenga. Pirates launched late attacks in search of a late winning goal, but Stars stood firm at the back and ultimately, the match ended in a 0-0 draw. The second-leg encounter will be played at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek, Namibia on Saturday, 22 December 2018. The winner on aggregate will advance to the group stages of the continental competition.

🔔TURN ON NOTIFICATIONS TO NEVER MISS AN UPLOAD!🔔 🔔Hit LIKE & SUBSCRIBE: https://goo.gl/wfLAcs 🔔 Title:Prins Tjiueza Namibian Wonderkid🔥⚽🔥 AMAZING Skills & CREAZY Goals 2018 HD Prince Tjiueza the early star of COSAFA U-17 Cup Namibian fans may find it hard to keep their feet on the ground after they began their COSAFA U-17 Cup campaign with an emphatic 8-3 victory over Seychelles on Thursday. However, in Prince Tjiueza, the Baby Warriors boast the outstanding individual of the competition so far, and a player who has the quality to fire the Namibians to the title. Regardless of the young forward's class in his four-goal display in the evisceration of the Seychelles, this bout was a long time coming for a Namibia side who appeared keen to make a statement in their tournament opener. After winning the title in 2016, a lack of funds meant they were unable to defend their crown, and they now have the opportunity to re-establish themselves as the regional giants at this level. They certainly did that with an 8-3 triumph that represented their biggest winning margin in a COSAFA competition - it also sets them up as favourites to clinch the title and secure a spot at the 2019 U-17 African Cup of Nations in Tanzania. Coach Paul Malembu was keen to downplay his side's chances after their opening victory, but the performance of Tjiueza cannot help but fuel title talk. Prince Tjiueza of Namibia at the U-17 COSAFA Cup Gavin Barker/BackpagePix "We are not seeing the semi-finals yet. We need to prepare for the next game, and that will be against the hosts. Then, we can see how far the semi-finals are," Malembu told the NFA website. "The boys need to understand that they are here to enjoy themselves, and no pressure should be placed on them to reach the next round. In football, once you win, you can't get to the next round automatically, and that you can only do by being yourself and playing your game." Tyrin George netted a hat-trick for the Warriors, with his fifth making it 5-3 to the Namibians as they pulled away following an unconvincing first half in which the two sides traded blows. Man of the Match Tjieuza was influential as Namibia took the contest away from the islanders. It had been his goal which had given the Warriors the 4-3 advantage late in the first half, and he came into his own during the final 20 minutes, adding three more as the Seychelles tired. His speed, boldness in possession and fearless when faced with opposition defenders stood out at this level, and established the youngster as the most impressive player to have showcased his qualities in Mauritius so far.The win takes Namibia to top spot in Group A after one match, level on points with Botswana, who defeated the hosts 1-0 in their opener on Thursday. The Baby Warriors meet Mauritius in their second group game later on Saturday, while Botswana will expect to eliminate the Seychelles from the running when they clash in Port Louis. Prins Tjiueza has continued his magical exploits at the Under-17 Cosafa Cup in Mauritius, to earn his team a semi-final spot in the competition. Tjiueza, who netted four goals in the Baby Warriors 8-3 win over Seychelles in their opening match, extended his goal tally to five in the competition, after scoring one of the two goals against Botswana. Autohaus Audi Namibia came to the match on the back of a 1-0 defeat to hosts Mauritius and had everything to play for against their neighbours. The team proved they have what it takes to go all the way, after a dominating display. Namibia finished top of Group A with six points, followed by Mauritius. Seychelles exited the competition without registering a point, while Botswana were also eliminated. “This victory came down to a team effort, as illustrated by our first goal. After we lost to Mauritius, we had to concentrate more on the mentality of the boys and we had to encourage them to still believe. “There was a lot at stake and they came right. We are through and we now have to relax and then regroup to plan for Angola in the semifinals and then see how far we can go. “The sky is the limit; the boys have really surprised us and they can do more from now on,” coach Paul 'Shakes' Malembu told the NFA website. Namibia will meet Angola at 13:30 at the St Francois Xavier Stadium on Friday. This year's winner will qualify directly for the Afcon U-17 tourney. The Afcon winner will qualify for the Fifa U-17 World Cup, which the Namibian team has never featured at. The Baby Warriors starting against Botswana was as follows: Ikuaterua Mungendje, Vinceno Ganeb, Promise Gurirab, Aiden Eisab, Gonzales Tsuseb, Steven Damaseb (captain), Prins Tjiueza, Bradley Hanixab, Gerald Goraseb, Amazing Kandjii and Edmar Kamatuka.Jesse Jackson Kauraisa WINDHOEK, 10 SEP (NAMPA) – Omusati were on Sunday crowned champions of the Skorpion Zinc Cup Under-17 for the third time in a row after humbling Erongo Region 4-2 .Magnoliaarts
