DEU POTTER OUTRA VEZ! Mais uma vez o Chelsea teve pela frente o Brighton & Hove Albion na rodada 24 da Premier League e deixou pontos pelo caminho. Foi o 3° confronto entre os treinadores GRAHAM POTTER e THOMAS TUCHEL. As duas equipes entraram em copo Desfalcadas! O Chelsea sem o melhor goleiro do mundo Édouard Mendy,; o Brighton sem Bissouma (ambos na copa africana de nações). Jorginho e Mount retornaram ao time; Ziyech permaneceu, Pulisic ficou fora. O Chelsea não esteve bem no primeiro tempo! Más mesmo sem atuar como o seu torcedor esperava, abriu o placar com o marroquino Ziyech chutando de longe e acertando o canto do goleiro Sanchez. Os seagulls se defendiam muito bem e o recurso de chutar de longe, foi uma boa solução. Os donos da casa então começaram dominar a partida usando ataques em velocidade. Lamptey, Cucurela e Welbeck se destacaram. Individualmente a defesa do Chelsea estava bem com Rüdiger e Thiago Silva muito eficientes. Destaque negativo foi Lukaku! Mais uma vez isolado, não recebia bolas. O Chelsea tentava chegar ao ataque e abusava dos erros de passe gerando contra-ataques dos seagulls. Ziyech se movimentou muito na primeira etapa, teve bastante a bola no pé. Hudson-Odoi foi escalado pelo lado esquerdo e fez seu jogo característico de velocidade e dribles, tanto para o fundo, quanto para dentro. Na hora de concluir... tomava a decisão errada. O Chelsea encerrou o 1° tempo em vantagem com Kepa Arrizabalaga tendo evitado o gol dos anfitriões logo o primeiro ataque seagull. O 2° tempo teve momentos distintos com as equipes revezando domínio. Thomas Tuchel abriu o time, e assumiu o risco de não faturar 3 pontos fora de casa. O Chelsea partiu pro ataque proporcionando que o Brighton chegasse ao empate com Webster após cobrança de escanteio. O defensor seagull cabeceou a bola com muita força sem chances de defesa para nosso goleiro Kepa. Os jogadores do Chelsea caminharam para o centro do campo decepcionados. O Brighton manteve o melhor desempenho por alguns minutos... até Thomas Tuchel alterar o time fazendo 3 mudanças no mesmo tempo! Werner, Kovacič e Havertz foram para o jogo. Lukaku, Ziyech e Jorginho saíram. Os blues foram ao ataque, Werner procurou o jogo pela direita, parava na eficiente defesa do Brighton. Muitas bola foram levantadas na área sem sucesso. Chutes da entrada da área por cima do gol com Kante Kovacič. Tuchel mais uma vez saiu de campo insatisfeito com a criação do time. O Chelsea empatou mais uma partida com o Brighton, 5 pontos possíveis ficaram para atrás somando a derrota para o Manchester City.
