Red Bull Confirm Hulkenberg Contacted Them
Red Bull Confirm Hulkenberg Contacted Them

Sidelined F1 driver Nico Hulkenberg has been trying to make a return to F1 and he seemingly helped his cause by impressing many during his stand-in duties for Racing Point a couple of weeks ago. One possibility suggested for his return is Red Bull and their advisor Helmut Marko has now given his thoughts on this. To celebrate 100K Subscribers I'm giving away 10 Formula World shirts for FREE! Enter at this link: https://formula.world/100k-giveaway/ Link to poll: https://www.youtube.com/post/UgxcbjFhxuDZHMvATk54AaABCQ 0:00 - Hulkenberg Makes Himself Available For Red Bull 1:11 - Fast Feed I'm your host Dillon Shelley and first up on Formula World: Hulkenberg Makes Himself Available For Red Bull Red Bull is known for promoting from within and Hulkenberg getting a contract with them was only seen as a distant possibility. However, this speculation got a bit more traction following Marko’s comments during an interview with ORF after Hulkenberg qualified in 3rd position for the 70th Anniversary GP "He was away for half a year, comes back and puts the car on the third starting position. He has my phone number" Marko followed this up by revealing to Motorsport-Total that Hulkenberg had indeed contacted him “He let us know that he is available” Marko quickly added that this does not automatically mean a Red Bull contract for the German “That doesn't mean that he will be in our car” “It was a great performance. But if everyone comes to us about whom I say drove a great race, we would need a team with ten cars. If one of them does a good job and you acknowledge that, it doesn't mean that he'll get a contract with us” Fast Feed Alpha Tauri’s Pierre Gasly feels that “the situation looks completely different after twelve months. On a professional level, the past twelve months have been extremely good” He further elaborated on how he “achieved” his “first Formula 1 podium in Brazil. That was really positive. Also, this season is going well, since the start of the season” Williams’ George Russell has explained that “even though” they “have the strongest engine in the back” they “are by far the 'most draggy' car on the grid” as well He also added that “fortunately the decision has now been made and” they “are happy that Dorilton are the new owners of the team” He further predicts that the Formula 2 “title is between Shwartzman and Ilott” with Mazepin possiblly being “a surprise in the latter part of the year” McLaren’s Carlos Sainz has revealed that when he wanted “to fight for something at the beginning of” his “F1 career”, he “struggled to raise” his “voice and make” himself noticeable” Renault’s Esteban Ocon “wasn't expecting” to be able to race with Racing Point’s Lance Stroll last week and added that “It was a surprise to catch him and fight with him” Norbert Haug, the former Vice President of Mercedes-Benz motorsport feels that “what Lewis has shown for 14 years in terms of consistency and power in Formula 1 is simply unique and unprecedented” He also thinks that Red Bull’s Max Verstappen “certainly has the same potential and strength. In Formula 1 there are only very good and very, very good drivers. Lewis and Max belong in the second category” Former world champion Jacques Villeneuve thinks that Ferrari “want to make it a real Italian team, but” he doesn't “think it's necessary in Formula 1” Red Bull team principal Christian Horner feels that the protests and the surrounding drama is “all quite normal, it's all part of the soap under the name Formula 1” He also thinks that “probably every team is going to make their positions known to each other and then negotiations will take place behind the scenes” He further added that “the negotiations will also be with the FIA, to ensure as much clarity as possible about what is and isn't allowed” Helmut Marko feels that they’re “not racing in the drivers' championship right now” but “in the engineers' championship” He further elaborated on this by suggesting that "Lewis Hamilton's enormous superiority is the result of a stronger engine" He also thinks that “the spectator doesn't want to admire the best engineering crew, but the driver who drives the racing car at its limit” Would Red Bull benefit by signing Hulkenberg?

Vettel Addresses Retirement Rumours
Vettel Addresses Retirement Rumours

Link to poll: https://www.youtube.com/post/UgymgF9W81YzeTDbOMl4AaABCQ 0:00 - Vettel Addresses Retirement Rumours 1:10 - Fast Feed Ever since former F1 driver turned commentator Martin Brundle confirmed that Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel had requested an interview, the world of F1 has seen a lot of speculation regarding the reason behind such a request. Some have suggested that it could be to announce a retirement from F1. I'm your host Dillon Shelley and first up on Formula World: Vettel Addresses Retirement Rumours Sebastian Vettel got straight to the point “That rumour is not true. Actually, an interview with Sky was planned in Austria. All we had to do was postpone it to Hungary in favour of ORF. That's what the interview with Brundle was about and nothing else. It's all a bit of an exaggeration” He further elaborated on why he had to request the interview “There are no print media journalists in the paddock right now. So we're just doing interviews on television” Brundle reiterated this during race commentary by saying that the interview was just to talk about racing in general and that there are no big announcements planned as everyone is speculating. Vettel’s future is still quite uncertain though. However, Alpha Tauri’s team principal Franz Tost is hopeful that Vettel could still find a drive for 2021 “I would wait and see how the season goes. If a world champion is up for grabs, a top team really can't ignore him” Fast Feed McLaren’s Lando Norris looked back at his “Awesome first two weekends” and revealed that he “didn't expect it to go that way” Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc said that he “let the team down and didn't do a good job” after crashing with teammate Vettel and feels that he can “only say sorry and hopefully” he'll “learn from this” Former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher suggested that if he were Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto, he “would be afraid of a phone call from the boss” Mattia Binotto, meanwhile accepts that they “haven't been competitive. Not only against” their “rivals over the past few years, but also against others, who up to yesterday were generally behind” them Mercedes’ Toto Wolff has revealed that he wouldn’t mind being Vettel’s manager and help him get a drive for 2021 “Purely from a human point of view” However, he is “not sure” he'd “do him any good” as he is “not sure if the teams” they're “talking about now are willing to negotiate with” himself F1’s managing director Ross Brawn feels that “The concept of the biosphere and the big bubble” means that they will” get a positive at some stage but” hopes that they “can control it and minimise the risk” Former F1 world champion Jacques Villeneuve thinks that “the car still has the biggest impact, even in the pouring rain” Alexey Titov, promoter of the Russian GP has revealed that they are “working closely together on a plan to be able to receive spectators safely” during the F1 race there Should Binotto be concerned for the safety of his job?
