THE NABILA SHOW: SOUTH AFRICA MATCH-FIXING AND MANIPULATION ALLEGATION EXPLAINED

Ghana Football Association (GFA) has released a statement to disprove the allegations made by the South Africa Football Association (SAFA). SAFA on Wednesday, November 17, held a press conference to detail their observations from their final group game against Ghana in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Despite Ghana progressing to the play-off round of the qualifiers, South Africa have been persistent with their efforts to downplay the integrity of the match. Before the game at Cape Coast, there were various stories about how South Africa team was made to travel for nine hours from Accra to Cape Coast. I have had mixed reactions and feedback on why FIFA could order a replay of World Cup qualifier. Many have said South Africa won't get the evidence to their claims. I say, FIFA did not ask Senegal to provide them stats of J.O Lamptey's officiating record. Sports radar, FIFA EWS, commissioning of top 14 or 15 referees from Africa, did come from Senegal. Engaging a Prof from Scotland in their investigation of the matter did not come from Senegal. FIFA will find a way of establishing South Africa's allegations. They won't rely on only evidence provided by SAFA. If they find nothing, they will throw it out. Just remain open-minded about what the outcome could be.

The South African Football Association will be lodging a formal complaint to both FIFA and CAF about the poor officiating in the final 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying match in Group G between Ghana and South Africa.
