In Pursuit - The First Epic Ride Of The Year
'Now I know that Spring will come again, perhaps tomorrow'. Feeling moved by the Edwardian poet Edward Thomas, Si organised a bike ride from Bristol to the south coast in pursuit of spring. It was a similar cycle that inspired Thomas to write a moving pastoral book about the English countryside, and helped form his career as a writer and poet in the pre war era of the 20th century. Conor, Manon and James joined Si for our first epic ride of the year, and whilst not everyone was impressed with the poetry or history lessons, the sun came out and we had saw signs of spring everywhere....
