Hey everyone and welcome back to the End to End Hockey channel, today I have a short for you guys as we do a quick game recap short here as we look at a quick recap of day 22 of playoff action on Saturday as the Canes would blow a lead in the 3rd but recovered in OT as they beat the Flyers 3-2 in OT to sweep the Flyers like they did the Sen’s, they start the postseason 8-0 and are heading back to the ECF while the Wild opened up a 2 goal lead early on and pulled away to destroy the Avalanche 5-1 as they are back in the series and only trail the Avalanche 2-1 and more, and I would love to hear your thoughts on all this and what your opinion is down in the comments section below. 1991 World Series Game 3 | Braves Walk Off the Twins in 12 Innings!
On October 22, 1991, the Atlanta Braves defeated the Minnesota Twins 5–4 in a dramatic 12-inning battle during Game 3 of the World Series. Played at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium in the first World Series game ever hosted in Atlanta, the game became an instant classic and, at the time, the longest World Series game ever by duration. The Braves built an early lead before the Twins stormed back behind clutch home runs from Kirby Puckett and Chili Davis. The game remained tied deep into extra innings until Mark Lemke delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the 12th, scoring David Justice and giving Atlanta a critical victory. POST CAST: Wild Respond at Home with 5-1 Win in Game 3
The Minnesota Wild responded in a big way with a 5-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche to win their first round 2 game since the 2015 season. The Wild grabbed the early lead on a goal for Kirill Kaprizov, and followed it with Quinn Hughes' 4th goal of the postseason to make it 2-0 in the 1st. Ryan Hartman added a Power Play goal in the 2nd to make it 3-0, before the Avs added a Power Play goal of their own to make it 3-1. Brock Faber scored 20 seconds later to make it a 3 goal lead once again. The scoring held until late in the 3rd period, when Matt Boldy scored an empty netter to seal the 5-1 win. Jesper Wallstedt was fantastic in net with 34 saves on 35 shots. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 23 points and nine assists for the Thunder, who coolly improved to 7-0 - both in these playoffs overall, and in their seven games this season against LeBron James and the Lakers. Oklahoma City is the NBA's sixth defending champion to start 7-0 in the following postseason after three wins over short-handed Los Angeles by a combined 59 points. James had 19 points, eight assists and six rebounds, while Austin Reaves had 17 points and nine assists. But both stars struggled from the field to a combined 12 for 32, and 21 points from Rui Hachimura weren't enough to keep LA in contention with the champs. Except for Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder all began Game 3 in another shooting groove. Los Angeles still surged to a small halftime lead behind 16 points from Hachimura. Oklahoma City erased that lead with a methodical surge out of halftime, going up by 13 in the third quarter. Third-leading scorer Jalen Williams missed his fifth straight game for the Thunder with a strained hamstring. Game 4 is Monday night in Los Angeles.
