Поэтому в Монте-Карло квалификация является чуть ли не важнее самой гонки, и нет ничего удивительного в том что именно в ней происходят различные курьезы и неожиданные сюрпризы. Пока все ожидали очередного противостояния Ред булл и Мерседес, в борьбу за потенциальную победу включилась третья сила – Феррари К радости фанатов Леклера и Сайнса они с легкостью прошли в третий сегмент и после первой попытки монегаск завоевал промежуточный поул. А вот уже на втором заходе, Шарль ошибся на входе, ударился в отбойник и сломал подвеску, что в последствии так и не дало ему начать гонку и продлило его домашнее проклятье. После схода Леклера первой возможностью серьезно исправить своё положение дел был старт, но в лидирующей группе все осталось без изменений, поэтому после того как все устаканилось отыграть позицию можно было только за счет тактики или ошибок соперников. Первым из всего пелетона в боксы заезжает Льюис Хэмильтон, тем самым лавинообразно начиная волну питстопов. Но если в Испании стратегами Мерседеса можно было только гордится, то вот в Монако их решения вообще не поддаются никаким объяснениями. Еще по ходу квалификации формула-1 мы наглядно видели что у гонщиков были серьезные проблемы с прогревом шин – некоторым пилотам приходилось проезжать аж по 2 прогревочных круга чтобы вывести резину в рабочий температурный диапазон. Поэтому нет ничего удивительного в том что те кто пытался совершить андеркат, то есть заехать в боксы первыми, лишь потеряли время на этом время – ведь пока они постепенно прогревали свежую резину на первых кругах выезда из боксов, те кто в этот момент оставался пускай и на изношенных но прогретых шинах, имели более высокий темп – и в итоге чем дольше гонщик оставался на трассе тем больше времени он отыграл. Но ошибку допустили не только стратеги, но и механики, которые сорвали резьбу гайки на питстопе Боттаса из-за чего Вальттери завершил свою гонку досрочно. На последнем отрезке гонка устаканилась, в разных частях пелетона сформировались отдельные группы, в которых гонщики прессинговали впередиидущие машины, но как я уже говорил ранее, реальный обгон был возможен только в случае личных ошибок пилотов. Однако учитывая уже достаточно большой опыт и Ландо Норриса, который находился под атаками Серхио Переса, и Пьера Гасли, защищавшегося от Хэмильтона, и Эстебана Окона, который вместе с Алонсо был единственный из всего пелетона кто использовал мидиум, никаких оплошностей мы так и не увидели, и благодаря этому каждый из них доехал до финиша на своих местах и завоевал заслуженный результат. Макс добился первой победы в Монако и таким образом стал новым лидером чемпионата formula 1 ну а увидеть воссоединение присоединившихся к нему на подиуме Ландо и Карлоса было приятным бонусом. То что Ред Булл смогли перехватить лидерство как в личном зачете так и в кубке конструкторов formula1 еще раз говорит нам о том что расстановка сил будет меняться от гонки к гонке, а значит весь сезон формула-1 должен быть супер напряженным и невероятно интересным. Horner Hits Back At Hamilton's "Nonsense" Claims
Mind games are a part of the title race in F1 and it has been a vital component in all the biggest rivalries in F1 history. Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen are the two title protagonists this year and many feel that the gloves are finally coming off after Lewis Hamilton made some comments about Max. I think the good thing is that I think there is a nice balance and amount of respect between us” He further explained how he and Max are at different points in their careers “I think perhaps [Max] feels he has a lot to prove. I'm not necessarily in the same boat there and I'm more long-term, 'it's a marathon not a sprint' sort of mentality, which is ultimately why I have the stats that I have. So, I'll continue with that and I'll do everything to make sure that we avoid connecting” Max Verstappen responded to Hamilton’s “a lot to prove” comments and gave his thoughts about the two possibly crashing into each other “I have nothing to prove. Avoiding contact is something that comes from both sides. So far it has gone well. I don't know what else to say either, we haven't crashed yet, have we? Apparently, such statements create headlines” His team principal Christian Horner didn’t hold back when reacting to Hamilton’s comments “Lewis loves that nonsense, just let him do his thing. Max is doing his own thing. And the fact that Lewis has to do that probably shows that Max has him under his thumb” He summed up his words by looking at the excitement factor associated with this rivalry “And we're just at the beginning. Can you imagine what it will be like if these two are still so close in the final races?” Fast Feed Red Bull’s Sergio Perez has stated that “all the pressure is coming from [himself. He] really wants to deliver to the maximum He added that “the team hasn’t put [him under] any pressure. [He knows] what kind of job [he has] to do” Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi feels that their driver “Esteban [Ocon] is doing everything to make [Rossi] consider keeping him in the team” He also revealed that “at the moment, he's considering obviously Esteban as [they] mentioned earlier on” Furthermore, “Fernando [Alonso] is here next year with them]. So, if [they] want to carry on on the momentum [they] have, [they’ll] do that” Christian Horner has stated that McLaren CEO Zak Brown has said that Max and Lewis will crash “so many times now that you’d almost get the impression, he wishes it!” Horner added that “Max and Lewis have come close a few times in recent races, and they’ve shown it’s possible without crashing” He also added that “if the battle for the world championship remains as exciting as [they] all hope, then the pressure will be higher and with it the chance of contact” He further thinks that it “always brings a lot of risk, but both drivers are smart enough not to do stupid things” Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has pointed out that “there have been similar situations in the past [where the grey areas in the regulations have been questioned, as was the case] with the DAS” He also added that “the door is open for a protest [with regards to flexible rear wings], that’s not only for [them], because there are at least two more teams” who feel wronged “However, a protest creates a messy situation, just when the FIA wants to come up with a solution” surmised Toto McLaren team principal Andreas Seidl has stated that “from [their] point of view there is no reason to announce it now” regarding the flexible wings He added that “several teams have already taken advantage of something that [McLaren] think is against the regulations” “They have already had that advantage for a number of races and [McLaren are] really not happy about that” Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto has confirmed that “yes, [they] are exploiting” the regulations around flexible wings He thinks that “all the teams are exploiting somehow what's possible, and what [they] believe is right” He further feels that “the [FIA] technical directive is clarifying furthermore, and [they] will need to slightly adapt” Will Ocon be racing for Alpine again in 2022?

Miglior prestazione di Charles Leclerc nella seconda sessione di prove libere del Gran Premio di Monaco di Formula 1. 11.684 è il crono fatto segnare dal monegasco, precedendo il compagno di squadra Carlos Sainz, Lewis Hamilton e Max Verstappen. Nelle Fp2 la Ferrari confermandosi sui livelli del terzo settore di Barcellona lancia la sfida a Mercedes e Red Bull. Leclerc che ieri aveva dichiarato di non credere alle possibilità della Scuderia di Maranello di lottare per pole e vittoria nel Gp di casa, nonostante abbia saltato il turno del mattino ha tolto il giro più veloce di un decimo a Carlos Sainz. Lo spagnolo completa dopo oltre due anni l'uno-due della Rossa al termine di un turno di prove libere, ed è stato anche autore di un'ottima simulazione del gara riuscendo ad essere l'unico pilota a scendere sotto il muro del 1.14. All'inseguimento della Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton (+0.390) davanti per soli sette millessimi a Max Verstappen (+0.397) che si è inserito in mezzo alle due Mercedes precedendo Valtteri Bottas. (+0.424). Passo indietro rispetto al mattino invece per l'altra Red Bull di Sergio Perez 8° alle spalle di Lando Norris 7° e Pierre Gasly 6°. Buon turno anche per Antonio Giovinazzi 9° migliore dell'Alfa Romeo con Kimi Raikkonen 11°, e Sebastian Vettel 10° che si è confermato in top ten facendo ancora meglio di Lance Stroll 13°. In difficoltà anche nelle PL2 le Alpine con Fernando Alonso 12° ancora più veloce di Esteban Ocon 14°,e Daniel Ricciardo 15° che anche sulla sua pista preferita prende un distacco di quasi un secondo da Norris. George Russell 16° risponde a Nicholas Latifi 17°, mentre Nikita Mazepin 18° precede nuovamentre Mick Schumacher 19° andato a muro negli ultimi minuti della sessione causando una bandiera rossa, chiude la classifica delle Fp2 Yuki Tsunoda 20°. Nelle prove libere del mattino Sergio Perez con il crono di 1.12.487 era stato il più veloce, infliggendo un distacco di un decimo a Carlos Sainz (1.12.606) che si è inserito in mezzo alle due Red Bull precedendo Max Verstappen (1.12.648), che come lo spagnolo a differenza del compagno di squadra ha utilizzato le medie. Dietro all'olandese Pierre Gasly (+0.442), Lewis Hamilton (+0-508) e Valtteri Bottas (+0.644) che negli ultimi minuti non sono tornati in pista. Alle spalle delle Mercedes Lando Norris 7° (+0.749), davanti a Sebastian Vettel (+1.245) che ha iniziato con il piede giusto il week end, mentre Yuki Tsunoda 9° (+1.254), e Kimi Raikkonen 10° (+1.594) chiudono le prime dieci posizioni. Fra le due Alpine Nicholas Latifi 14°, Daniel Ricciardo 15°, mentre in casa Haas Nikita Mazepin 17° fa meglio di Mick Schumacher 18°, soltanto 19° George Russell, era partito subito in salita il Gp di casa di Charles Leclerc ultimo che nei primi giri ha rotto la trasmissione ed è costretto a rimanere ai box per tutta la sessione.

Is Ocon Going To Drive For Mercedes In 2022?
Alpine’s Esteban Ocon has had an interesting F1 career so far. At one point, he was even left without a seat in the sport but he is now in his second year with his current team. As a former member of Mercedes’ driver program, he was at one point seen as one of the drivers being groomed to drive for Mercedes in the future. However, that role has now been assumed by Williams’ George Russell. Еще по результатам квалификации формула1 стало ясно что Ред Булл, а если быть точнее двигатели Хонда, действительно смогли сделать серьезный шаг вперед, поэтому Макс впервые за долгое время получил реальную возможность бороться с немецкими болидами по чистой скорости. Со старта нидерландец уверенно удерживал лидерство, и лишь за счет значительно более ранних питстопов от Льюиса, к середине заезда британцу все таки удалось выйти на промежуточное первое место. Многие активно критиковали стратегов Ред булл f1 за то что они не реагировали на действия Мерседес и даже не пытались защититься от андерката, однако правда заключается в том что неважно какую позицию ты занимаешь по ходу гонки, главное какой она является на финише и вот как раз таки на последний отрезок стратеги Red Bull formula1 и делали свою ставку. С преимуществом в 11 кругов по свежести шин за оставшуюся дистанцию Максу предстояло отыграть 8 секунд и вернуть позицию. И формально он это сделал однако именно этот обгон и стал источником грядущего скандала, ведь буквально через несколько поворотов Ферстаппену приказали выпустить Хэмилтона обратно вперед. К тому времени Макс уже под убил свои шины, поэтому явного преимущества у него не осталось и несмотря на все свои попытки обогнать Льюиса еще раз у него так и не получилось. До начала уикенда судьи четко прояснили ситуацию с выходом из четвертого поворота – на свободных заездах и квалификации формула-1 пилоты не могли выезжать за пределы красно-белого поребрика, если же они это делали то их время круга просто аннулировалось. Но в гонке это ограничение снималось, то есть пилотам официально разрешалось нарушать границы трассы на выходе из четвертого поворота. Поэтому предъявлять претензии к Льюису за то что он пользовался этим 29 раз в течение всего заезда на самом деле не уместно, ведь он имел на это полное право, а то что другие не делали то же самое является лишь их собственной проблемой. Но прямо по ходу заезда судьи решили изменить заранее оговоренное правило и все таки запретить пилотам выезжать за пределы трассы. Но самое парадоксальное даже не это, а то что данное решение было принято буквально через пару кругов после того как Максу сообщили по радио о том что Хэмильтон пользуется таким приемом и получает за счет него неплохое преимущество. И как только Ферстаппен начинает делать то же самое Майкл Маси вместе со своими коллегами решает что пора лавочку прикрывать. Но знаете что на мой взгляд является самым главным во всей этой истории – неважно кто вышел победителем в этой гонке, по-настоящему важно то что за долгое время мы наконец-то увидели равное сражение за победу по чистой скорости, то что за долгое время спящие внутри нас эмоции наконец-то пробудились и превратились в такие бурные обсуждения. ведь именно ради этих эмоций мы и смотрим formula 1 поэтому нужно радоваться тому что сезон обещает быть интересным, а вот таких вот сражений впереди будет еще очень и очень много.
