I mean how could a Warriors team that was 2-2 in the series with KD beat the Rockets without KD, that’s what everyone was thinking. Game 6 starts and Curry can’t buy a bucket. He’s just missing shots he usually makes. Steph ends the half with 0 points and NBA Twitter, well they do what they do best Curry was getting roasted, disrespected, people were saying he was not the same Curry, that he was letting KD down. Like Bogut said “"He'll check his mentions at halftime when he has a bad half. It's the craziest s--t I ever saw, Yeah, Steph, if he had a bad half, he would go on social media and then come out and drop 30 [in the second half]." Steph did drop 30… 33 points to be exact, in the second half. He had 23 points in the 4th quarter including 8 points in a minute and a half to put the Warriors ahead for good. Curry created his own shots, without KD. Curry’s first few years in the league were rough, unfortunately, Curry’s ankles were as fragile as glass. That’s actually what was being said about him. His ankles just were twisting randomly and he got surgery after his second season to clean ankle debris, but in 2011-2012, Curry could barely stay on the court and had to get his second ankle surgery. Despite having a solid rookie and second season, showing a lot of promise, there were trade rumors that the Warriors would trade Curry and move in a different direction. Monta Ellis was supposed to be the direction the Warriors were gonna go with, but they couldn’t agree to any trade involving Steph. And when that happened, they decided to trade Monta Ellis for the Bucks. Curry signed an extension with the Warriors while rehabbing from his second surgery. That extension was a 4 year $44 million dollar deal. The rest of the NBA had mixed reactions, some thought that was too much for a guy that couldn’t be on the court, some thought it was pretty fair. Curry heard the talk. And he made sure he was gonna breakout. In the 2012-2013 season, the Warriors would finish 47-35. Curry would breakout, he would play in 78 games averaging 38 minutes a game. Not only that, he would average 23 points, 7 assists, was an All-Star snub and got the Warriors to the second round where he was one of the best players in the playoffs. And just like that, Curry was worth more than the contract, more than just the glass ankles. That disrespect didn’t stop in the NBA even after Curry had just averaged 23 and 7 shooting 45% from 3 even after his ankles were good. Nike had a chance to sign Curry after the 2012-2013 season, after the Warriors had made the second round in the playoffs, after Curry was beginning to play like an All-Star. He was already a Nike athlete, but in their pitch meeting, they started by pronouncing Stephen’s name as Steph-on. In one of their slides, they had left Kevin Durant’s name in there. They fumbled the bag. He became the most popular athlete in the world, his jersey was the most sold for 3 consecutive years. In 2016, Steph was worth 14 billion dollars to Under Armour. In the 2013-2014 season, Curry became a first time All-Star. Nike even had a chance to match Under Armour’s offer, but they didn’t. He immediately proved Nike wrong and that’s what he wanted to do, because at that point, he had been used to being overlooked and so Under Armour actually valued him and now Curry has his own brand. The most recent example was this season on January 3rd. You know when everyone magically just forgot about Curry being a unanimous MVP, oh yeah, that Curry was apparently washed, couldn’t lead the Warriors to the playoffs, that Dame was better. The Warriors were 2-3 up till that point and had just lost by almost 40 against the Trail Blazers on January 1st. Hmmm, yeah all that talk that worked out really well. Curry came in on January 3rd after hearing all the noise , charged up. After the game, he said he took all the talk personally. What did he do during the game? Dropped 62 points. Yeah, he had 21 in the first quarter. Every type of shot, handles. Just Curry being Curry. Curry’s been listening and he wants to respond to all the criticisms. He leads the league in total points and now we have the “Curry’s back” tweets, comments, but really he never left. He was just injured last season and he’s been capable of this for years. But y’all just forgot right.

La locomotora del Carchi vuelve a hacer de la suyas ganando etapa en un remate que ya es de libreto en su repertorio. Hoy se corrió la tercera etapa del tour de Polonia 2020 partiendo desde Wadowice y con un total de 200 kilómetros de recorrido ambientado con varios puertos cortos. Y al final la entrada en un circuito que contenia un muro de kilómetro y medio al ocho por ciento, al cual debían ascender en cuatro ocasiones y que seria también la línea de meta. Con muy buenas y reconfortantes noticias partió temprano la carrera. La organización del evento dio a conocer un comunicado en su twitter informando que el ciclista Fabio Jakobsen despertó del coma y su condición es buena. Recordemos que en el cierre de la primera etapa se presentó un desafortunado incidente entre varios pedalistas que cayeron al suelo y debieron ser trasladados al hospital. Siendo el neerlandés Jakobsen quien llevó la peor parte junto a uno de los comisarios de carrera que estaba presente en línea de meta. La etapa partía con el campeón mundial mads pedersen luciendo la camisa de líder y un trek segafredo pendiente de todos los movimientos durante los primeros ascensos, inicialmente una escapada con 4 hombres amenizó la jornada, y mas adelante algunos hombres del cofidis y el jumbo tomaron una leve ventaja sobre el pelotón pero siempre estuvieron controlados, principalmente por la gente del deceuninck y el bora buscando mantener opciones para sus corredores. Tras varios pasos por esos cortos puertos se hacia evidente el desgaste en el grupo y se iba partiendo a medida que avanzaban los kilómetros. Los ciclistas importantes para la general viajaban en la parte delantera. Chaves, Evenepoel, Carapaz y Yates no pretendían ceder en sus aspiraciones a titulo y estuvieron siempre atentos a cualquier movimiento. Entrando a la última vuelta del circuito team Ineos monta su aplanadora incrementando el ritmo y haciendo lo que mejor saben hacer. Dejan montada la etapa para Richard Carapaz que prende la locomotora a 300 metros de meta y sorprende a sus rivales. De atrás salen a perseguirlo Diego Ulissi y jasper stuyven pero no les es suficiente para adelantar al ecuatoriano. El ataque le da la ventaja justa para ganar la etapa y ponerse de líder. Y es que Carapaz ya tiene medidas este tipo de llegadas. En el giro 2019 durante la cuarta etapa, hizo algo similar saliendo un poco antes del remate y superando a rivales mas fuertes en esas llegadas como caleb Ewan y Primoz Roglic. Mañana saldrá como líder de la general con ventaja de 4 segundos sobre Diego Ulissi y Kamil malecki. Clasificación en la que ahora tiene ventaja de 10 segundos sobre Chaves, fuglsan, yEvenepoel. Se viene una etapa con final en alto y un triple paso por un encadenado de tres cortos puertos. El final de ellos y sitio de meta con una dificultad del 6, 7 por ciento y dos y medio kilómetros de longitud. Veremos como el Ineos trabaja para la defensa del liderato y estamos expectantes con lo que pueda hacer Remco Evenepoel, quien por primera vez en la temporada se ve con desventaja en la lucha por una carrera y tendrá que salir a buscar si tiene ganas de titulo.
