FC Saarbrücken hatte nach der Länderspielpause den Sieg beinahe bereits eingetütet, musste sich am Ende aber mit einem Remis begnügen. Beim SV Wehen Wiesbaden lagen die Blau-Schwarzen nach einem Doppelpack von Julian Günther-Schmidt komfortabel in Führung. Doch die Hessen kamen spät zurück und sorgten in der Nachspielzeit für den Ausgleich zum 2:2-Endstand. Cheftrainer Lukas Kwasniok startete mit Daniel Batz zwischen den Pfosten. Davor bildeten Fanol Perdedaj, Boné Uaferro, Manuel Zeitz und Anthony Barylla die Viererkette. Im Mittelfeld waren Luca Kerber, Tobias Jänicke und Julian Günther-Schmidt unterwegs. Die Außenbahn besetzten Nicklas Shipnoski und Markus Mendler. Im Sturm durfte Sebastian Jacob ran. Vor den Toren war zunächst wenig los. Erst nach zehn Minuten ein erster Hauch von Gefahr, als Hollerbach aus der Distanz draufhielt, Batz damit aber nicht vor Probleme stellte. Der FCS-Keeper musste auch bei einer Flanke von Mrowca eingreifen, die zu ihm durchrutschte. Den Nachschuss von Chato blockte Perdedaj erfolgreich. Gleiches tat er kurz später bei einem Versuch von Korte. Mitte des ersten Durchgangs trat dann auch die Offensivabteilung der Blau-Schwarzen erstmals in Erscheinung. Mendler flankte von der linken Seite in den Strafraum, Shipnoski köpfte vorbei. Auf der Gegenseite wurde es in der 35. Minute richtig knapp. Korte zog von der linken Außenbahn nach innen und schlenzte die Kugel aus 16 Metern auf den Kasten. Batz war geschlagen, doch die Kugel tropfte vom Aluminium zurück ins Spielfeld und der FCS klärte. Den letzten Abschluss der ersten Halbzeit verbuchten die Blau-Schwarzen für sich. Shipnoski luchste Kempe den Ball ab und bediente Günther-Schmidt. Sein Schuss verfehlte das Gehäuse jedoch deutlich. Raus aus der Kabine ging es weiter mit kontrolliertem Fußball und diesmal war es der FCS, der zunächst für Gefahr sorgte. Jacob nahm einen langen Ball klasse an, lupfte ihn über Mrowca und zog ab. Der Torjäger hatte aber nicht richtig justiert und die Kugel flog am Kasten vorbei. Dann war es aber soweit. Batz schlug den Ball nach vorne. Jacob verlängerte in den Lauf von Günther-Schmidt. Der machte sich auf in den Sechzehner, visierte das lange Eck an und es stand 1:0 für die Blau-Schwarzen (56.). Kwasniok wechselte kurz später zum ersten Mal. Minos Gouras ersetzte Mendler und führte sich glänzend ein. Shipnoski schickte Gouras. Der hatte das Auge für Günther-Schmidt, legte im richtigen Moment quer und Günther-Schmidt besorgte das 2:0 (64.). Den Gastgebern schien damit der Zahn gezogen. Der FCS verwaltete gut und Kwasniok brachte mit Kianz Froese und Lukas Schleimer für Jacob und Günther-Schmidt zwei frische Kräfte für die Schlussphase. In der 82. Minute hatte Shipnoski dann die finale Entscheidung auf dem Fuß. Jänicke hatte durchgesteckt. Shipnoski tauchte vor Keeper Boss auf, scheiterte aber am Schlussmann, der die Kugel im Nachfassen sicherte. Und dann stand es plötzlich nur noch 1:2. Medic eroberte den Ball in der eigenen Hälfte und machte das Spiel mit einem Pass in die Tiefe auf Tietz direkt schnell. Batz stürmte aus dem Kasten und erwischte den Ball vor dem Angreifer. Doch der Ball sprang erneut zu Tietz, der den Anschlusstreffer markierte (84.). Direkt im Anschluss kamen Jayson Breitenbach und Maurice Deville für Jänicke und Shiposki. Sie sollten mithelfen, den Vorsprung über die Zeit zu bringen. Doch mit der letzten Aktion des Spiels gelang den Gastgebern der Ausgleich. Kuhn flankte von rechts in den Strafraum. Tietz hatte zu viel Platz und köpfte zum 2:2 ein (90.). Weiter geht es für die Blau-Schwarzen am kommenden Samstag, 10. April. Dann gastiert der Mitaufsteiger Türkgücü München beim FCS.
