This year, they equaled their best finish of the last decade in the championship table with a third-place finish. It'll take time. Andreas Seidl has done an unbelievable job leading the Formula 1 team” He then pointed out all the positive aspects of the McLaren team “We've got two great drivers. We've got the Mercedes power unit. We've got fantastic men and women at the racetrack and back at the factory all building towards this race car to make it go as fast as possible” He further added that they finally have everything they need “So, I think we need some time for it all to come together, but I don't think there are any pieces to the puzzle missing now. Red Bull Reveal When They Will Decide “Verstappen's Teammate”
Red Bull are yet to announce who will drive for them alongside Max Verstappen next year. Some have suggested that current driver Alex Albon will continue while others are batting for Sergio Perez to replace Albon. Similarly, their sister team AlphaTauri is yet to announce their second driver for next season. Team principal Christian Horner and Advisor Helmut Marko have now offered some clarity. Horner started by detailing the approach they will take “Obviously, we have a huge amount of data now. We have all the knowledge across the various circuits that we have done. We’ll sit down, go through that and come to the right conclusion” Alex Albon finished in a respectable fourth place in the final race that Verstappen won. Horner spoke about Albon’s performance and explained how it helped the team out in terms of strategy “It’s certainly what we were expecting to see because it’s the only way in which you can put Mercedes under pressure. If for example, they split the strategy, then we could’ve been very exposed.
