The visit of rock-bottom and already relegated Norwich City does at least provide hope of a return to winning ways, but another defeat would mark the first time Leicester have lost three successive league games since February 2019. That losing run back in 2019 spelled the end of Claude Puel’s reign as Leicester boss, and with growing discontent around Brendan Rodgers’ future in the King Power hotseat, it’s easy to see why an honest dressing room discussion was held in the aftermath of Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to Everton. Rodgers should at least be able to appease the Leicester faithful here if he can continue his impressive personal H2H record against Norwich across the last eight meetings (W5, D2, L1). Norwich have very little to play for besides preparing for the Championship next season, but a win in the East Midlands could lift Norwich off the foot of the table if results elsewhere go their way. Although considering both the ‘Canaries’ only away league wins this season have come against Brentford and Watford - two sides that were promoted to the PL alongside them - confidence isn’t likely to be high. The visitors’ inability to win away against more ‘established’ PL sides (D3, L12) has been one of the things that has cost them this season, as has their inability to score goals on their travels. Dean Smith’s side have clocked up a league-low ten away league goals this season and with just three of those coming in the first half, don’t expect a fast Norwich start. Players to watch: Leicester’s Patson Daka has seen all five of his PL goals come at home - the last three were the ‘Foxes’ first of the day. Meanwhile, Norwich’s Teemu Pukki scored in the reverse H2H and also during his last visit to the King Power Stadium. Hot stat: A league-high 23 of Leicester’s games this season saw both teams score. Leicester City sit in 11th place on 42 points, having scored 48 goals and conceded 54. With five matches left, the Foxes trail seventh-placed West Ham United by 10 points for a spot in the Conference League Qualifiers. Leicester were defeated 3-1 in their last Premier League match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Tottenham Hotspur, extending their winless streak to four (W0 D2 L2). Everton's last league match saw them triumph 1-0 over Chelsea at home, leaving them in 18th place on 32 points, two points from safety with five matches remaining. The teams played out a 1-1 draw in their last Premier League meeting, an April match at Goodison Park. Harvey Barnes scored the Foxes' lone goal in the fifth minute. Richarlison scored the lone goal for the Toffees in the 92nd minute. Everton have got the better of Leicester of late, unbeaten in their last four Premier League matches (W2 D2 L0). Leicester are looking for their first league win in fixtures between the two clubs since December 2019. The Toffees have outscored the Foxes 6-3 during their unbeaten streak. Jamie Vardy and James Maddison have proved attacking threats for Leicester this season. Vardy is the side's top scorer with 10 goals. Nearly as impressive, Maddison has scored eight times, including two match-openers. Richarlison and Demarai Gray have been Everton's main attacking threats, scoring eight and five times, respectively. On home soil this season, Leicester have eight wins, four draws, and four losses in 16 Premier League contests. The Foxes are looking to extend a six-match home unbeaten streak (W3 D3 L0) dating to January 23 against Brighton & Hove Albion. Everton will seek to address a poor run of results on the road this season with three draws, 12 losses, and just one win in league away contests. The Toffees will be out to end a 14-match away winless streak (W0 D2 L12). The last time they earned a win away was August 2021 against Brighton & Hove Albion. In their last six league matches, Leicester have won one, drawn three and lost two. Everton, meanwhile, have won two, drawn one and lost three in their last six. #LEICESTERvsEVERTON #LIVESTREAM #PREMIERLEAGUE

Holding Leicester City to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of this UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) semi-final has boosted Roma’s chances of reaching their first UEFA competition final since the 1990/91 UEFA Cup. Sunday’s home clash against Bologna wasn’t the ideal preparation for this meeting though after manager JosĂ© Mourinho was forced to call upon rested regular starters (including Tammy Abraham and Rick Karsdorp) to help his side try and secure a crucial victory - but that was something they ultimately failed to do (0-0). That result may end up damaging their Europa League prospects for next season, placing further pressure on Roma to qualify via winning the UECL. It was also the fourth competitive fixture since the beginning of February that Roma failed to win at home (W4, D4), but with away goals no longer coming into play, their impressive unbeaten home record across their last two seasons of continental football (W9, D4) should be a well of confidence to draw from. Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers stated he and his players have “no fear” as they head to the Stadio Olimpico in pursuit of the club’s first-ever UEFA final, and it was clear where his priorities lay after resting several starters in their recent Premier League defeat at Tottenham (3-1). Rodgers lost five of his first seven clashes with “The Special One”, but he can now boast going two games undefeated against Mourinho after a 2-0 win away to Mourinho’s Tottenham side last season which preceded last week’s 1-1 draw. The Foxes’ path to this semi-final saw them follow up a home draw with a dramatic come-from-behind 2-1 win at PSV, their second away victory from three attempts in the knockout stage of this tournament. How they handle the step up to Roma could be a different story, especially when you take into account Leicester have lost all six UEFA trips they’ve played against clubs in Europe’s top-five leagues throughout their history, most recently in the Round of 16 vs French side Rennes (L 2-1). Players to watch: Lorenzo Pellegrini has scored for Roma in two UECL knockout fixtures so far. Kelechi Iheanacho was Leicester’s only goalscorer at the weekend and also found the net in their Round of 16 triumph. Hot stat: Since the beginning of the UECL’s Round of 16, 73% of the matches have seen both teams score. WILL NOT PLAY Mkhitaryan H. (Muscle Injury) Bertrand R. (Knee Injury) Ndidi W. After failing to overcome two mid-table clubs in their previous two PL outings (D1, L1), Spurs will need to sharpen up here ahead of a daunting upcoming trip to Anfield. Manager Antonio Conte pointed to the sole goal conceded across their last two winless games as evidence that his “system” was not broken, but completing those 180 minutes without a single shot on target illustrates that Tottenham are in a similar attacking rut to the one that saw them go on a run of failing to score in five of eight PL matches between September and November. As they approach the second of eight games in a 25-day period, Leicester could be forgiven for prioritising their continental ambitions and effectively neglecting this match as they prepare for next week’s Europa Conference League trip to Rome. They secured a solid 1-1 draw in the first leg on Thursday and can qualify for next year’s Europa League by winning the competition. That seems the only route back into Europe for the ‘Foxes’ who come into this round ten-points behind seventh-placed West Ham United and with a fixture schedule that’ll see them juggle a game every three days on average. A good result could keep slim qualification hopes via the league alive, yet that seems unlikely given they’re winless in seven PL trips away to sides starting the round in the top half (D1, L6). Players to watch: Spurs need a return to form from Heung-min Son who failed to score in his last two outings, but has netted in eight PL home victories this season. While Ademola Lookman remains Leicester’s only player to score in two away PL matches this calendar year. Hot stat: None of Brendan Rodgers’ last 12 games (W7, L5) against Tottenham finished level, while all but one of those 12 have produced 3+ total goals. #TOTTENHAMvsLEICESTER #TOTTENHAMvsLEICESTERCITY #TOTENHAMHOTSPURvsLEICESTER
