Midfielder on 0-0 draw at the Kassam Stadium
A late penalty from Antony Evans earned Bristol Rovers an Emirates FA Cup first round replay after The Pirates twice came from behind at the Kassam Stadium. #OxfordUtd #BristolRovers #FACup In this episode of the podcast I will be reviewing today's Emirates FA Cup clash being Oxford United vs Bristol Rovers. I will also be joined by Charlie Haynes from One Rovers Vlogs to give another perspective of this incredible and classic FA Cup tie. Matty Taylor isn't much of a fan favourite at Bristol Rovers after his move to Bristol City but was nothing short of fantastic this afternoon, opening the scoring early in the game and then setting up the second after the break. The second goal was beautifully finished from ex-Barcelona and Arsenal midfielder Marcus McGaune. Interestingly Karl Robinson and Joey Barton fielded a very strong side creating a fascinating encounter at the Kassam Stadium at 1pm this afternoon. With the game finishing as a draw the game will go to a replay, with both sides having the obvious intention of progressing through to the second round of the biggest domestic cup competition in English football. Ex-Liverpool midfielder Cameron Brannagan came back into he side after illness and really drove OUFC forward from the middle of the park. Gavin Whyte, on loan from Cardiff City, got an opportunity to impress and looked lively at time down that left-hand side. Thank you again for @oneroversvlogs for appearing on this match review of Oxford Utd vs Bristol Rovers! If you enjoyed this episode of the podcast, please SUBSCRIBE and LEAVE A LIKE! #OxfordUtd #Burton #LeagueOne It's another matchday in Sky Bet League One as Burton Albion host Oxford United (Burton 1-3 Oxford). It's 7th against 8th this afternoon and will certainly prove to be a tight, edgy encounter against two sides that enjoy playing attractive football. Last time these two teams met was on the final day of last season, where OUFC won 4-0 and claimed the final EFL League One play-off spot. Burton started very strong this season beating the likes of Ipswich Town, Sunderland, Lincoln, Portsmouth and even current league leaders Plymouth Argyle, the team that won at the Kassam Stadium last Saturday. Both teams come into this game with a win as Burton beat Fleetwood on the road and Oxford beat Shrewsbury Town, 2-0. The U's will still be without their manager Karl Robinson on the touchline through illness so club captain John Mousinho and assistant manager Craig Short will be in charge once again at 3pm. A win today for either side could see them push into the top 6, depending on how results go elsewhere. Of course, as we've seen so many times this season, League One can be so unpredictable and this game really could go either way! Will Oxford United gain their first back-to-back away win of the season after their unbelievable result against Sheffield Wednesday 3 weeks ago? As always, YOU can get involved in the LIVE CHAT at full-time, giving your thoughts on the game and asking questions! All will be discussed and broken down in this LIVE episode of the podcast! Oxford win the game 3-1 and climb into the play-offs! If you enjoy this, please SUBSCRIBE and LEAVE A LIKE! Enjoy!
